LIMITED WARRANTY - GENERAL TERMS
This Limited Warranty applies only to InCoax-branded hardware products sold by
or leased from InCoax Networks, its subsidiaries, ailiates, authorized resellers, or
country distributors (collectively referred to in this Limited Warranty as “InCoax”)
with this Limited Warranty. The term “Hardware Product” is limited to the hardware
components and required irmware. The term “Hardware Product” DOES NOT
include any software applications or programs. InCoax guarantees that the
Hardware Products that you have purchased or leased from InCoax are free from
defects in materials or workmanship under normal use during the Limited Warranty
Period. The Limited Warranty Period starts on the date of purchase or lease from
InCoax, it is valid for 13 months and you fully accept the InCoax Limited Warranty
Conditions at purchase. Your dated sales or delivery receipt, showing the date of
purchase or lease of the product, is your proof of the purchase or lease date. You
may be required to provide proof of purchase or lease as a condition of receiving
warranty service. You are entitled to hardware warranty service according to the
terms and conditions of this document if a repair to your Hardware Product is
required within the Limited Warranty Period. During the Limited Warranty Period,
InCoax will, at its discretion, repair or replace any defective component. All compo-
nent parts or hardware products removed under this Limited Warranty become the
property of InCoax. In the unlikely event that your Hardware Product has recurring
failures, InCoax, at its sole discretion, may elect to provide you with:
a) A replacement unit of InCoax’ choosing that is the same or equivalent to your
Hardware Product in performance or
b) To give you a refund of your purchase price or lease payments (less interest)
instead of a replacement.
These are your only alternatives for defective products.
It is mandatory that the product number and serial number of the unit be made
available when requesting a warranty service event. Failure to do so may result in
the event being deemed out of warranty by InCoax or, InCoax’ Authorized Service
Providers, and therefore chargeable to the requester. Unless otherwise stated, and
to the extent permitted by local law, new Hardware Products may be manufactured
using new materials or new and used materials equivalent to new in performance
and reliability. InCoax may repair or replace Hardware Products:
a) With new or previously used products or parts equivalent to new in performance
and reliability, or
b) With equivalent products to an original product that has been discontinued
Replacement parts are warranted to be free from defects in material or workmans-
hip for ninety (90) days or, for the remainder of the Limited Warranty Period of the
Hardware Product they are replacing or in which they are installed, whichever is
longer.
Notes:
I. Firmware upgrades are not covered under this InCoax Limited Warranty
Conditions. Firmware that is an integral part of the hardware is not automatically
upgraded when new versions of the irmware are released.
II. Firmware upgrades can be purchased as part of Support Services according to
actual Price List.
III. Hardware Replacement can be purchased as part of the Support Service accor-
ding to the actual Price List.
EXCLUSIONS
InCoax does not guarantee that the operation of this product will be uninterrupted
or error-free. InCoax is not responsible for damage that occurs as a result of your
failure to follow the instructions intended for Hardware Product(s). This Limited
Warranty does not apply to expendable or consumable parts and does not extend
to any product from which the serial number has been removed, damaged or
rendered defective. Furthermore, the Limited Warranty is not applicable for the
following:
a) As a result of accident, misuse, abuse, contamination, improper or inadequate
maintenance or calibration or other external causes.
b) By operation outside the parameters stated in the user documentation that
is shipped with the product (including incorrect input voltage or voltage peaks
caused by lightning).
c) Improper site preparation or maintenance.
d) Virus infection of the software and/or irmware.
e) Loss or damage in transit.
f) By modiication or service by anyone other than:
I. InCoax
II. An InCoax authorized service provider
InCoax is not responsible for any interoperability or compatibility issues that may
arise when:
1. Products, software, or options not supported by InCoax are used.
2. Conigurations not supported by InCoax are used.
3. Parts intended for one system are installed in another system of dierent make
or model.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
If the Hardware Product fails to work as warranted above, InCoax’ maximum liabili-
ty under the Limited Warranty is expressly limited to the lesser of the price paid for
the Product or the cost of repair or replacement of any hardware components that
malfunction in conditions during normal use. In no event will InCoax be liable for,
except as indicated above, any damages caused by the Product or the failure of the
Product to perform, including any lost proits or savings, business interruption,
loss of use or any other commercial or economic loss of any kind, or special,
incremental, or consequential damages. InCoax is not liable for any claim made by
a third party or made by you for the third party. This limitation of liability applies
whether damages are sought, or a claim made, under this limited warranty or as
a tort claim (including negligence and strict product liability), a contract claim or
any other claim. This limitation in liability cannot be waivered or amended by any
person. This limitation of liability will be eective even if you have advised InCoax,
or an authorized representative of InCoax, of the possibility of any such damages
or even if such possibility were reasonably foreseeable. This limitation of liability,
however, will not apply to claims for personal injury. This limited liability gives
speciic legal rights. You may also have other rights that may vary from state to
state or from country to country. You are advised to consult applicable state or
country laws for a full determination of rights. If InCoax determines that damage/
failure that exists is not covered by the warranty the end user will be contacted
to determine whether such damage/failure should be repaired for a charge or
whether the Hardware Product should be returned to the end user as received.
All associated transportation and handling costs are charged to the customer.
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
To enable InCoax to provide the best possible support and service during the
Limited Warranty Period, you will be required to:
• Maintain a proper and adequate environment, and use the Hardware Product in
accordance with the given instructions.
• Verify conigurations, load the most recent irmware, install software patches, run
InCoax diagnostics and utilities, and implement temporary procedures or work-
arounds provided by InCoax while InCoax works on permanent solutions.
• Allow InCoax to keep resident on your systems or sites certain system and
network diagnostics and maintenance tools to facilitate the performance of
warranty support.
• Provide remote connectivity through an InCoax-approved communications line,
if required.
• Assist InCoax in running the service tests.
• Use the electronic data transfer capability to inform InCoax of events identiied
by the software.
• Purchase InCoax-speciied remote connection hardware for systems with remote
diagnosis service, if required.
• Use InCoax remote support solutions where applicable.
InCoax strongly encourages you to use the available support technologies provi-
ded by InCoax. If you choose not to deploy available remote support capabilities,
you may incur additional costs due to increased support resource requirements.
It is recommended to cooperate with InCoax in attempting to resolve the problem
over the telephone or e-mail. This may involve performing routine diagnostic
procedures, installing additional software updates or patches, removing third-party
options, and/or substituting options. You should maintain a procedure to
reconstruct your lost or altered iles, data, or programs that is not dependent on
the Hardware Product under warranty support. Notify InCoax if you use Hardware
Products in an environment that poses a potential health or safety hazard to InCoax
employees or subcontractors. InCoax may require you to maintain such products
under InCoax supervision and may postpone warranty service until you remedy
such hazards. InCoax may request that you perform additional tasks as deined
within each type of warranty service listed above and any other actions that InCoax
may reasonably request in order to best perform the warranty support.
SOFTWARE LIMITED WARRANTY
Except as provided in the applicable software end-user license or program license
agreement, or if otherwise provided under local law, software products, including
any freeware (as deined below) or operating systems preinstalled by InCoax are
provided “AS IS” and with all eventual faults, and InCoax hereby disclaims all other
warranties and conditions, either express, implied, or statutory, including, but not
limited to, warranties of title and non-infringement, any implied warranties, duties
or conditions of merchantability, of itness for a particular purpose, and lack of
software viruses. Some states/jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of implied war-
ranties or limitations on the duration of implied warranties, so the above disclaimer
may not apply to you in its entirety. To the maximum permitted by applicable
law, in no event shall InCoax or its suppliers be liable for any special, incidental,
indirect, or consequential damages whatsoever. This is including, but not limited
to, damages for loss of proits or conidential or other information, for business
interruption, for personal injury, for loss of privacy arising out of or in any way
related to the use or inability to use the software product, even if InCoax or any
supplier has been advised of the potential of such damages and even if the remedy
fails of its essential purpose. Some states/jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion
or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or ex-
clusion may not apply to you. The only warranty obligations of InCoax with respect
to software distributed by InCoax under the InCoax brand name are set forth in
the applicable end-user license or program license agreement provided with that
software. If the removable media on which InCoax distributes the software proves
to be defective in materials or workmanship within ninety (90) days of purchase,
your only alternative is to return the removable media to InCoax for replacement.

It means that according to local laws and regulations this product
should not be disposed in the household waste but sent for recyc-
ling. Please take it to a collection point designated by your local
authorities once it has reached the end of its life. Some of these
will accept products for free. By recycling the product in this man-
ner you help to conserve the environment and protect human health.
INCOAX AND THE ENVIRONMENT
At InCoax, we understand and are committed to reducing any impact that
our operations and products may have on the environment. To minimize this
impact InCoax designs and builds its products to be as environmentally friendly
as possible, by using recyclable, low toxic materials in both the products and
packaging.
InCoax recommends that you always switch o or unplug your InCoax products
when they are not in use. By doing so you will help to save energy and reduce
the carbon dioxide emissions.

BEGRÄNSAD GARANTI
Denna begränsade garanti gäller endast InCoax-märkta hårdvaruprodukter
som sålts eller hyrts ut tillsammans med den begränsade garantin av InCoax
Networks, dess dotterbolag, ilialer, auktoriserade återförsäljare eller distributörer
i gällande land (i denna begränsade garanti allmänt kallade ”InCoax”). Begreppet
”hårdvaruprodukt” begränsas till hårdvarans komponenter och nödvändig inbyggd
programvara. Begreppet ”hårdvaruprodukt” innefattar INTE några tillämpningspro-
gram eller andra programvaror. InCoax garanterar att hårdvaruprodukten du köpt
eller hyrt från InCoax är fri från fel i material och utförande vid normal användning
under den begränsade garantiperioden. Den begränsade garantiperioden gäller
i 13 månader från det datum du köper eller hyr en produkt från InCoax. Du god-
känner dessa villkor för InCoax begränsade garanti vid köptillfället. Ditt daterade
inköps- eller leveranskvitto som visar datum för inköp eller uthyrning av produkten
är ditt bevis på inköps- eller uthyrningsdatumet. För att få garantiservice kan
du behöva visa ett kvitto på inköpet eller uthyrningen. Om din produkt behöver
repareras inom den begränsade garantiperioden har du rätt till en garantiservice
på hårdvaran enligt de regler och villkor som anges i detta dokument. Under den
begränsade garantiperioden kommer InCoax, efter eget gottinnande, att reparera
eller byta ut defekta delar. Alla komponenter eller hårdvaruprodukter som tas bort
under denna begränsade garanti blir InCoax egendom. Om din hårdvaruprodukt
mot all förmodan skulle uppvisa återkommande fel kan InCoax, efter eget gottin-
nande, välja att ge dig ett av följande alternativ:
a) En ersättningsprodukt vald av InCoax som liknar eller motsvarar den hårdva-
ruprodukt du köpt eller hyrt.
b) Pengarna tillbaka för köpet eller hyreskostnaderna (minus ränta) i stället för ett
utbyte.
I händelse av en defekt produkt är detta dina enda val för kompensation.
Vid förfrågan om garantiservice måste alltid enhetens produktnummer och serie-
nummer innas tillgängliga och kunna anges. Om begärda uppgifter inte kan ges,
kan detta innebära att ärendet inte får tas på garantin hos InCoax eller av InCoax
auktoriserade serviceleverantörer och att kunden själv får stå för kostnaden. Om
inget annat anges, och i den utsträckning som är tillåtet enligt gällande lag, kan
nya hårdvaruprodukter tillverkas av nya material eller nya och använda material
som motsvarar nya i prestanda och tillförlitlighet. InCoax kan reparera eller byta ut
hårdvaruprodukter:
a) Med nya eller tidigare använda produkter eller delar som motsvarar nya i pre-
standa och tillförlitlighet, eller
b) Med produkter som motsvarar en originalprodukt som har utgått.
Reservdelar garanteras vara felfria i material och utförande under nittio (90) dagar
eller under återstoden av den begränsade garantiperioden för den hårdvarupro-
dukt som byts ut eller i vilken delarna installeras, beroende på vad som inträar
först.
Observera:
I. Uppdateringar av inbyggd programvara täcks inte av villkoren för den begrän-
sade garantin för InCoax produkter. Programvara som är integrerad i hårdvaran
uppdateras inte automatiskt när det släpps nya versioner av programvaran.
II. Uppdateringar av inbyggd programvara kan köpas som en del av support-
tjänster enligt aktuell prislista
III. Reservdelar för hårdvaran kan köpas som en del av supporttjänster enligt aktuell
prislista.
UNDANTAG
InCoax garanterar inte att produktens drift kommer vara helt fri från avbrott eller
fel. InCoax ansvarar inte för skador som uppstår till följd av att användaren inte har
följt de instruktioner som gäller för hårdvaruprodukter. Den begränsade garantin
gäller inte förbrukningsdelar och inte en produkt som har ett borttaget, skadat eller
oläsligt serienummer. Dessutom gäller den begränsade garantin inte:
a) Till följd av en olycka, felaktig användning, missbruk, nedsmutsning, felaktigt
eller otillräckligt underhåll eller kalibrering eller andra externa orsaker.
b) Vid användning utanför de användarparmetrar som anges i bruksanvisningen
som medföljer produkten (inklusive felaktig ingångsspänning eller spänningstoppar
orsakade av åskväder).
c) Vid felaktiga förberedelser på installationsplatsen.
d) Vid infektion av datavirus för program (tillämpnings- såväl som system-) och/eller
fast programvara.
e) Vid förlust eller skador under transport.
f) Vid ändringar eller service av någon annan än:
I. InCoax
II. En av InCoax godkänd tjänsteleverantör.
InCoax ansvarar inte för driftskompatibilitets- eller kompatibilitetsproblem som
kan uppstå då:
1. Produkter, programvara eller tillvalsprodukter används, som inte stöds av InCoax.
2. Konigurationer används, som inte stöds av InCoax.
3. Delar som är avsedda för ett speciikt system installeras i ett annat system av en
annan tillverkare eller en annan modell.
ANSVARSBEGRÄNSNING
Om hårdvaruprodukten inte fungerar som garanteras ovan, är InCoax maximala
ansvar under den begränsade garantin uttryckligen begränsad till mindre än det
pris som betalats för produkten eller kostnaden för reparation eller byte av hårdva-
rukomponenter som inte fungerar som de ska under normala användningsvillkor.
Förutom det som anges ovan, tar InCoax inget ansvar för eventuella skador som
orsakas av produkten eller fel som medför att produkten inte fungerar som den
ska, inklusive förlorade vinster eller besparingar, avbrott i verksamheten, förlust av
användning eller någon annan kommersiell eller ekonomisk förlust av något slag,
eller speciella, inkrementella eller följdskador, eller för eventuella krav från tredje
part eller krav som gjorts av dig för tredje part. Denna ansvarsbegränsning gäller
oavsett om skadestånd söks eller om anspråk görs under den begränsade garantin
eller som ett skadeståndsanspråk (inklusive försummelse och strikt produktansvar),
ett avtalsanspråk eller något annat anspråk. Denna ansvarsbegränsning kan inte
avsägas eller ändras av någon person. Ansvarsbegränsningen gäller även om du
rådfrågat InCoax, eller en representant som auktoriserats av InCoax, gällande
risken för sådana skador eller om en sådan möjlighet till viss mån kunde förutses.
Ansvarsbegränsningen gäller dock inte för anspråk gällande personskador. Denna
ansvarsbegränsning ger speciika juridiska rättigheter. Du kan även ha andra rättig-
heter som kan variera mellan olika stater eller länder. För en fullständig bestämning
av rättigheter rekommenderar vi att du tar reda på vilka lagar och regler som gäller
i ditt land. Om InCoax bestämmer att den gällande skadan/felet inte täcks av
garantin, kontaktas slutanvändaren för beslut om skadan/felet ska repareras mot en
kostnad eller om hårdvaruprodukten ska returneras till slutanvändaren i samma
skick som den mottogs. Kunden står för alla transportkostnader och logistikkost-
nader.
KUNDANSVAR
För att InCoax ska kunna erbjuda bästa möjliga hjälp och service under den
begränsade garantiperioden måste du:
• Tillhandahålla en lämplig miljö och använda hårdvaruprodukten enligt angivna
instruktioner.
• Bekräfta konigurationer, hämta aktuell programvara, installera programvarudelar,
använda diagnoser och verktyg från InCoax, och implementera tillfälliga procedu-
rer och lösningar från InCoax medan InCoax arbetar med permanenta lösningar.
• Tillåta att InCoax har tillgång till dina system eller speciella verktyg för system-
och nätverksdiagnoser och underhåll för att underlätta garantisupporten.
• Tillhandahålla järranslutning genom en av InCoax godkänd kommunikationslinje
om detta behövs.
• Hjälpa InCoax att utföra servicetest.
• Använda möjligheten till elektronisk dataöverföring för att informera InCoax om
händelser som registreras av programvaran.
• Köpa hårdvara speciicerad av InCoax för järranslutning av system med järrdiag-
nostjänster om detta behövs.
Använda InCoax järrsupportlösningar när det är möjligt. InCoax rekommenderar
starkt att du använder tillgänglig supportteknik som tillhandahålls av InCoax.
Om du väljer att inte använda tillgängliga möjligheter till järrsupport, kan det
tillkomma extra kostnader om supporten kräver extra resurser. Samarbeta med
InCoax vid problemlösning över telefon eller via e-post. Detta kan innebära körning
av rutindiagnostikprocesser, att installera ytterligare programuppdateringar eller
tillägg, ta bort alternativ från tredje part och/eller byta ut alternativ. Utföra en
process för att återskapa förlorade eller förändrade iler, data eller program som
inte är beroende av hårdvaruprodukten eller garantisupporten. Informera InCoax
om du använder hårdvaruprodukter i en miljö som kan innebära en hälso- eller
säkerhetsrisk för personal från InCoax eller dess underleverantörer. InCoax kan
begära att du underhåller sådana produkter under handledning av InCoax och
garantiservicen kan senareläggas tills du har åtgärdat riskerna. InCoax kan begära
att du utför ytterligare uppgifter som deinieras i varje enskild typ av garantiservice
enligt listan ovan eller andra åtgärder som InCoax kan begära för att kunna utföra
garantisupporten på bästa sätt.
BEGRÄNSAD PROGRAMVARUGARANTI
Förutom det som anges i den gällande användarlicensen för programvarans
slutanvändare eller i programlicensavtalet, eller om inte annat föreskrivs enligt
lokal lagstiftning, tilldelas programvaruprodukter, inklusive eventuella freeware
eller operativsystem förinstallerat av InCoax med beteckningen ”i beintligt skick”
och med alla eventuella fel. InCoax frånsäger sig härmed alla andra garantier
och villkor, såväl uttryckliga, underförstådda som lagstadgade, omfattande, men
inte begränsat till, garantier för titel och icke-intrång, underförstådda garantier
skyldigheter eller villkor för säljbarhet, lämplighet för ett visst ändamål, och brist
på datavirus. Vissa stater/jurisdiktioner tillåter inte uteslutande av underförståd-
da garantier eller begränsningar för underförstådda garantier, så ovanstående
begränsning eller uteslutning kanske inte gäller dig i sin helhet. I den omfattning
det tillåts av gällande lagar, ska InCoax eller dess leverantörer under inga om-
ständigheter hållas ansvariga för speciella, oförutsedda, indirekta, eller följdskador
(inklusive men inte begränsat till, skadestånd för utebliven vinst eller konidentiell
eller annan information, avbrott i verksamheten, för personskada, för förlust av
privatlivet till följd av eller på något sätt relaterat till användning eller oförmåga att
använda programvaruprodukten), även om InCoax eller någon leverantör har infor-
merats om risken för sådana skador och även om åtgärden inte uppfyller sitt syfte.
Vissa stater/jurisdiktioner tillåter inte uteslutning eller begränsning av tillfälliga eller
följdskador, så ovanstående begränsning eller undantag kanske inte gäller dig. Det
enda garantiansvar som InCoax har med avseende på programvara som distribue-
ras av InCoax under varumärket InCoax anges i den gällande slutanvändarlicensen
eller det licensavtal som medföljer programvaran. Om det lyttbara lagringsmediet
på vilket InCoax distribuerar programvaran visar sig vara defekt i material eller
utförande inom nittio (90) dagar efter köpet, kommer din enda gottgörelse vara att
återlämna det lyttbara mediet till InCoax för utbyte.

die von der InCoax Networks, ihren Tochterirmen, Geschäftspartnern, Vertrags-

gehen in das Eigentum der InCoax über. In dem unwahrscheinlichen Fall, dass Ihr
Hardwareprodukt von wiederholten Mängeln betroen ist, kann Ihnen die InCoax
nach ihrem Ermessen Folgendes anbieten:
a) ein Ersatzgerät nach Wahl der InCoax, das im Hinblick auf die Leistung mit Ihrem
Hardwareprodukt identisch oder gleichwertig dazu ist; oder

Network requirements to consider during installation
The risk of potential dierences and the spread of voltage from faulty equip-
ment is largely linked to the design of the electrical power distribution in the
apartment. If the coax outlets are not galvanically separated according to the
standard EN60728 then a galvanic separator, e.g. Soontai Isolator IS9 SG, shall
be used between the coax outlet and A101. In terms of potential equalization,
the EN50083-1 and EN60728 shall be followed: cable distribution systems shall
be designed and constructed so that no dangerous voltages can occur in the
external conductors of any cables or in metal cases on passive parts.
The screen of the coaxial cable is intended to be connected to earth in the
building installation.
