Disc features Different DVD discs have different combination of features, this is because of the different design created by the order and manufacturer, the following symbols indicate some features of the DVD disc. Disc Terms Title Generally, pictures or music compressed on a DVD are divided into several sections that is “title”. Chapter The smaller section unit of picture or music in a DVD under the title, usually one title is comprised of one or more chapters and each of them is numbered for easy searching. But some discs may not have a recording chapter. Track A fragment of picture or music on an SVCD, VCD or CD disc. Each track is numbered for searching.

Connection Video system connection There are four types of video outputs available for this unit.
Audio system connection Audio output of the unit includes the analog audio and the digital audio. The analog audio is two channel Audio, the digital audio is coaxial, and the sound effect is much better when the coaxial output is used.
Extra devices connection Line in This unit has an extra group of audio input terminals. You can input the analogue stereo audio signals from extra devices such as DVD, VCD, CD, VCR player, etc. Use the audio cable (red for right, white for left) to connect the stereo audio output terminals of an extra device to the stereo input terminals (LINE IN) of this unit. Its corresponding signal source is LINE IN, which can be available by pressing SOURCE SELECT button.
System setup 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Press SETUP button to enter the setup menu. In Setup mode, press SETUP button again to quit the setup page. Use the LEFT/ RIGHT buttons to choose the setup page: General setup page, Audio setup page, Video setup page, Preference page, Password setup, Exit. Press the DOWN button to enter the setup page selected. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select the option you want to adjust. Press RIGHT to enter the adjustment list.
Audio setup Analog audio setup page DOWNMIX LT/RT: The audio out is Left and Right channels format even if the original sound is 5.1CH format. Stereo: The audio out format is stereo even if the original sound is 5.1CH format. Digital audio setup DIGITAL OUTPUT SPDIF off: no digital signal out (coaxial output off), only analog audio output. All: digital signal output in the original format recorded in the disc. PCM only: digital signal output in the decoded PCM form.
Dolby digital setup DUAL MONO Stereo: stereo output signal, L-Mono: left output signal, R-Mono: right output signal, Mix-Mono: left and right output average signal. DYNAMIC If watching large dynamic scope movie program at night, to select this mode you can reduce the volume to a very low level, at the same time, to keep the fine details sounds. In this case, this doesn't disturb the family and keep the quality sounds. HDCD You can select the digital filter Off, 1x, 2x. The initial factory setup is Off.
You can set the Sharpness, Brightness, Contrast, Gamma, Hue, Saturation, Luma delay according to your preference. Preference setup TV TYPE This unit is suitable for all kinds of TV systems. You can select one of the PAL, NTSC or Multi. Multi: the TV system is auto switched according to the disc system. NTSC: this system is used in USA, Taiwan, Japan etc. PAL: this system is used in China, Europe, Hong Kong etc.
Functions OPEN/CLOSE Press OPEN/CLOSE button when power on, the disc tray is pushed out. Put the disc on the tray with the title faced up. Press OPEN/CLOSE again to close the disc tray and the unit starts playing automatically. (Without auto-play function for MP3 and JPEG discs). STANDBY When playing, press STANDBY button, the unit will be power-off and go to standby state; Press STANDBY again, the unit will be switched on and start playing. Warning: The power is not fully cut off at standby state.
STOP When playing DVD, VCD, SVCD, CD disc, press STOP button once, the unit will memorize the previous ending point. Press PLAY/PAUSE button to continue playback. Press STOP button for the second time to stop the play and end memory. PLAY/PAUSE When playing the disc, press PLAY/PAUSE button once to pause, press PLAY/PAUSE button again to return to normal play. SEARCH (F.
SETUP Press the SETUP button, the on-screen setting menu will display on the TV screen. CH-LEVEL Press this button to select a channel then press VOL buttons to adjust its level. TFT OFF Press this button to switch off the display. Press again to return to normal picture. TONE Press TONE button to select bass or treble frequency, then press VOL buttons to change the volume of the selected frequency. GOTO Press GOTO button to select title time, chapter time, track time to play.
Picture setup menu Press SYSTEM button to display the PICTURE menu in which you can set the items concerning to the screen of the unit. When the signal source is switched to the TV mode, press SYSTEM button repeatedly to switch to PICTURE menu, SETUP menu for TV or to exit the menu. Use direction buttons UP, DOWN to select items. PICTURE MENU CONTRAST, BRIGHTNESS, COLOR and SHARPNESS Select these items above respectively, and then press LEFT/RIGHT buttons to adjust the value.
TV operations Repeatedly press SOURCE SELECT button until TV mode is on, then press SYSTEM button twice to make Picture Setup Menu available. SLEEP Select this item, use the LEFT/RIGHT buttons to select the option OFF to disable the auto standby function or select a standby time (15Min, 30Min, 60Min, 90Min or 120Min) after which the unit will automatically go into the standby mode if it s not used.
PLAY PICTURE DISC When picture disc menu appears on the TV screen, press cursor buttons to choose the needed folder, then press ENTER, PLAY/PAUSE button to enter the selected folder. Select the needed file in the folder and press ENTER, PLAY/PAUSE button to playback the file. Press STOP button, 12 small pictures will be shown on the TV screen. Press UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT cursor buttons to select the desired picture.
Troubleshooting Malfunction Cause Power cord is not connected to electricity supply network. Video setup is incorrect. Setup doesn’t correspond to the actual connections. Video cable is not connected properly. Audio cable is not connected properly. Connected devices are not switched on. Sound setup is incorrect. Sound volume level is too high. Actions on elimination of malfunction Insert the power cord securely into the household socket. Perform proper video setup.
