INTRODUCTION The name Parnassus represents nearly 300 years of Swedish craftsmanship. In 1689, the original Parnassus factory was built by a waterfall on the Parnassus River; a river that gave both power and name to the new enterprise. At first, Parnassus supplied fine weapons to the Swedish Army, but in the 1870's Parnassus craftsmen turned their creative abilities to more peaceful products: an award-winning selection of sewing machines, and a range of stoves, heaters and household goods.
