AUTOMOWER
®
INSTALLATION CHECKLIST
CUSTOMER
The intent of this checklist is to cover broad elements of an Automower® installation to help both customer and
installer achieve a great customer experience. The information is provided as a general guideline. Individual
installations will vary so be sure to discuss them thoroughly with your selected Automower® installer.
Visit Husqvarna.com and locate your address on the Lawn Calculator to determine the size of the cutting area
and that the unit you purchased fits the area needed.
Identify the location and functionality of outdoor power outlet and its proximity to the desired charge station
placement (within 10 yards).
Contact Dig Safe and schedule for the property to be marked for any underground utilities prior to the installation.
Please visit www.call811.com for more information. If any underground utilities do exist, the
appropriate utility company will mark your property to show the locations and types of existing lines
free of charge.
Identify buried lines such as sprinklers, dog fences, etc. that are not typically considered utilities.
It is not uncommon for a property to have sprinklers, gas lines to fire pits, perimeter electrical wiring,
etc. These are not typically considered utilities and are not likely to be found through locators.
Damage from installing the Automower® when these local underground elements are in place is often
one of the most difficult situations for an installer and customer to resolve if incidents occurs during
the installation.
Verify the yard is free of all debris such as sticks, toys or obstacles that can cause obstructions.
Cut the grass to the desired height one to two days prior to the installation date.
Inspect lawn for holes, exposed roots, low drainage areas that may need to be backfilled or have other
corrective actions performed.
Speak with the installer to have a pre-installation site survey visit.
A pre-installation visit is strongly recommended, but not required. The installer will typically want to
meet with the customer at the property prior to the commencement of the installation to discuss
details about the installation and answer any questions about the schedule, installation process, etc.
Keep in mind that while the installer is an experienced professional, the specific elements of your
project should be thoroughly discussed to ensure both parties understand each other’s expectations.
Arrange to be present during the installation.
You must be present at the end of the installation process to review the Automower® installation
with the local installer, receive training on how to use your Automower®, and sign the certificate
of completion.
Confirm with installer all desired areas the Automower® should NOT cut have been partitioned off
using boundary wire.
