Coolsaver* Certain fruits and vegetables generate ethylene as a natural part of their ripening cycle. Other fruits and vegetables are highly sensitive to the presence of ethylene, but may or may not produce the ethylene themselves. Coolsaver maintains longer shelf life with better food quality and fresher perishables by removing the ethylene gas that causes premature ripening and decay. High relative humidity is good for most perishable foods but condensation is not.
