Introduction Welcome Dear customer Congratulations on your choice of a quality hob which has been designed to give you lasting service. The hob must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with current regulations and used in a well-ventilated space. Please read these instructions thoroughly before installing or using the appliance and keep them for handy reference. Make sure you understand the controls prior to using your appliance. This hob must only be used for its intended purpose, i.e.
Important safety information This manual contains important information regarding safety, the use and maintenance of your new hob. Read the manual carefully and keep it in an easily accessible place for future consultation. Before using the cooking hob Precautions and advice • Cardboard guards and protective plastic film. Before use, remove: • Adhesives stuck on the hob. • Check whether the hob has been damaged during transport. If any doubt, contact the After Sales Service.
Installation instructions Installation Preparing the housing unit 1. Secure the spring clips (A) (fig. 1) with the screws provided (B) (fig. 1) as shown, paying attention to the specified distances. • Cut the worktop to fit before installing the appliance. Carefully remove any shavings or sawdust that could prevent the appliance from running properly. 2. Fit the hob into the worktop. • If the worktop is made of marble, plastic, ceramic, stone, etc.
Electrical connection Electrical connections Connecting the hob to the power supply • Regulations require that the appliance be earthed. Note: the yellow/green earth wire must be connected to the screw with the symbol . • Connection to the mains must be carried out by a qualified technician in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and in compliance with local regulations. • Strip approx. 70 mm of the cable sheath from the power supply cable (G).

Cooker care Saucepan types Pan choice • Optimum efficiency is achieved by using pans that match the diameters of the elements. In choosing pans, look for pan handles that can be held easily and will stay cool. Avoid pans that are unstable and easily tipped. Pans that are too heavy to move easily when filled can also be a hazard. Only use flat bottomed pots or pans. • Do not use pots that have concave or convex bottoms. Pan size For maximum efficiency, use the recommended pan sizes for each burner.
Care & maintenance Care and maintenance • Any food spills should be cleaned off before they dry. • Do not use abrasive products, chlorine-based cleaners, hob-cleaner spray or pan scourers. WARNING Never clean the appliance with high pressure water or steam cleaning equipment. • The hob should be treated periodically with specific products available from the shops, following the manufacturer’s instructions. • Clean the hob, when it is cool, after each use.

The guarantee does not cover accidental damage, missuse or alterations which are likely to affect the units. d.
