When installing the Dishwasher, carry out tasks in the following order: - choose a location. - level the appliance (see,“Adjusting the feet”). - connect to a drainage system. - connect inlet hose to water supply. WARNING ● Connect your dishwasher drain hose to pipes which connect to the foul drain system and not to surface water drains. IMPORTANT NOTES For the correct operation of your dishwasher, it is essential to comply with the following information. Standpipe Fit the hose to the standpipe hook which can be found in the machine.

CONNECT TO THE WATER SUPPLY... ● For your machine to operate correctly it requires water pressures in the range of 6-150 psi (100-1000 KPa). Most cold water supplies will be in this range. ● Note: Low water pressure will lead to excessively long fill times or no fill. ● Ensure that the new hose supplied is connected and the old hose is disposed of safely. ● Ensure the fill hose is only connected to the cold water supply. DWF33 & DWF30 only After releasing the Economy 50˚ and Mains Switch buttons, the normal 65˚ and the Economy 50˚ light neons will be illuminated, showing that the factory set value is 2 (see table below). DWF35 & DWF34 only ADJUSTING THE WATER SOFTENER... ● In order to rinse dishes and glasses satisfactorily, the dishwasher requires soft water i.e containing little or no lime, otherwise water stains are left behind on crockery and glasses etc. If the tap water exceeds a certain level of hardness, it must be softened, ie. decalcified, so that it can be used in the dishwasher.

The LOW SALT Indicator 4 on the front panel will light up initially but will extinguish when the salt solution has become sufficiently concentrated. NOTE: Models DWF35 and DWF34 only: When the control is set to 0, it is not necessary to add any salt, as none will be consumed while the dishwasher is operating. The LOW SALT indicator is switched off. If the control is set between 1and 7, then salt must be added.

The purpose of Rinse Aid is to prevent formation of water marks on tableware and utensils, and to ensure that glasses are clean and sparkling. Rinse Aid is consumed during the rinsing process. - To open the lid, press on the rinse aid (1) container lid and simultaneously lift the lid off the lug (2). Pour the rinse aid into the filler hole until the level indicator turns dark. Rinse aid control.

Depending on the level of soiling on the items to be washed you can of course vary these quantities To close the lid of the detergent compartment, slide lid across (1) then press down firmly (2) until it locks.

Items NOT suitable for the dishwasher: Washing contents of UPPER basket only: (DWF 35) ● Cutlery and tableware made from wood or part wood-They become faded and unsightly in appearance. ● Avoid washing horn-handled and bronze cutlery in the machine. ● Delicate/decorative glassware and vases, special antique or irreplaceable china - the decorative patterns printed on these objects will not be dishwasher proof.

It is not necessary to rinse the dishes under running water. Place objects in the dishwasher in such a way that: - Items such as cups, glasses, pots/pans, etc. are stood upside down. - Curved items, or those with recesses, should be at a slant so that water can run off. - They are stacked securely and cannot tip over.

This enables more height to be gained for bigger dishes in either the top or the bottom basket. Lean tall glasses and those with long stems against the shelf - not against other items being washed. Place glasses, cups and small bowls on the additional cup rack.

The most appropriate programme can be identified by comparing the type of crockery, cutlery etc., as well as the amount and condition of food remains, with the details contained in the programme overview. The corresponding programme sequence, duration and consumption details are shown in the bottom half of the overview.

You can delay that start of a programme in increments of one hour for up to 9 hours. Switch mains switch 1 to ON. Immediately press the TIMER button 8 The numerical display 7 changes to 1 . Press the TIMER button as many times as necessary until the numerical display shows the required delay.

This saves time and aggravation. You should therefore carefully inspect the inside of your dishwasher from time to time. Overall condition of appliance. - Check that no grease or scale has accumulated on the inside of the dishwasher. If you discover any deposits: Clean the interior of the dishwasher thoroughly with a detergent solution.

Lime and remnants of food in the washing water can block the nozzles in the spray arms and the arm mountings. If the appliance is installed in a location where there is a risk of freezing temperatures (eg. in a holiday home), all water must be completely drained out of the interior. Turn OFF the tap, disconnect the supply hose and allow to drain.

Improper repairs can lead to considerable equipment damage as well as danger to the user. - The dishwasher must first be disconnected from the electricity supply before any repairs or other work can be carried out. Switch off at the mains socket and water supply and remove the plug. ● Indicator lamps do not go out after washing has finished.

Jets of water could not reach all parts of the dishes etc. - Too many items in the rack. - Items in the rack were touching each other. - Not enough detergent was added to the dispenser. - Selected wash programme was not intensive enough. - Rotation of spray arm was obstructed by dish, etc.
