INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING

THIS FAN

When using electrical appliances, basic

precautions should always be followed to

reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and

injury to persons, including the following:

FOR US MODELS ONLY - This product

employs overload protection (fuse). A blown

fuse indicates an overload or short-circuit

situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the

product from the outlet. Replace the fuse as

per the user servicing instructions (follow

product marking for proper fuse rating)

and check the product. If the replacement

fuse blows, a short-circuit may be present

and the product should be discarded or

returned to an authorized service facility

for examination and/or repair.

1. Use this fan only as described in this

manual. Other use not recommended

as it may cause fire, electric shock or

injury to persons.

2. This product is intended for household

use ONLY and not for commercial,

industrial or outdoor use.

3. To protect against electric shock, do not

place fan in window, immerse unit, plug

or cord in water or spray with liquids.

4. This appliance has a polarized plug

(one blade is wider than the other). To

reduce the risk of shock, this plug is

intended to fit only one way in a polarized

outlet. If the plug does not fit fully in the

outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does

not fit, contact a qualified electrician.

DO NOT attempt to defeat this safety

feature.

5. Close supervision is necessary when any

appliance is used by or near children.

6. Turn the fan OFF and unplug the fan from

the outlet when not in use, when moving

the fan from one location to another and

before cleaning.

7. To disconnect the fan, first turn the unit

OFF, grip the plug and pull it from the wall

outlet. Never pull the plug by the cord.

8. Do not operate the fan in the presence

of explosive and/or flammable fumes.

9. Do not place the fan or any parts near

an open flame, cooking or other heating

appliance.

10. Do not operate the fan with a

damaged cord or plug or if the product

malfunctions, is dropped or damaged in

any manner (see warranty).

11. Do not use an extension cord or power strip with this fan. 12. Avoid contact with moving fan parts. 13. The use of attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may be hazardous. 14. Place the fan on a dry level surface. 15. Do not hang or mount fan on a wall or ceiling. 16. Do not operate if the fan housing is damaged. 17. A loose fit between the AC outlet (receptacle) and plug may cause overheating and a distortion of the plug. Contact a qualified electrician to replace loose or worn outlet. 18.

SECURING THE FAN TO THE BASE • Extend the silver pole to its full length, place the fan pole into the base. (Fig. 4). • Align the pole in the base using tabs as a guide.

ASSEMBLING THE UPPER PORTION OF THE FAN • Remove the thumb screw from the lower portion of the fan motor assembly by turning it counter-clockwise (Fig. 7) • Insert the Fan Motor Assembly into the Fan Pole (Fig. 8), once both halves are aligned reinsert the thumb screw (Fig. 9) and tighten by turning clockwise. Fig.8 Fig.7 Fig.9 • Circular Rear Grille Mounting Nut will come attached to the Motor Assembly. Remove it by turning COUNTER-CLOCKWISE.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS (continued) • Properly align the Front Grille with the Rear Grille (Fig. 16). To secure the Front Grille onto the fan, raise the built-in clips around the Front Grille and fasten these clips onto the Rear Grille. Fig.16 D. DETERMINING THE HEIGHT OF THE FAN The unique Twist & LockTM height adjustment feature lets you choose the perfect height for your cooling needs. Twist the top pole and either pull up or push down to find your ideal height then twist again to lock in place.

HSF600 SERIES FAN OPERATION ON/OFF To turn fan on, press the Power button ( ) located at the bottom of the control panel (Fig. 20). Model HSF600B, HSF600W Model HSF600BC, HSF600WC SPEED CONTROL To adjust the speed up or down, press the Fan Speed button ( ) repeatedly to increase level (Fig. 20). TIMER Choose from 1, 2, 4, or 8 hour settings by performing the following function (Fig. 20): • 1 hour: Press the Timer button ( ) once. Speed Speed • 2 hours: Press the Timer button twice.

HSF600 SERIES REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION ON/OFF Remove remote control from the back of the fan. The remote control will not work while in the fan housing. Press the Power button ( ) once to turn the fan on. Press the Power button a second time to turn the fan off (Fig.22). SPEED CONTROL To adjust the speed up or down, press the Fan Speed button ( ) repeatedly to increase level. TIMER Speed Power Timer Choose from 1, 2, 4, or 8 hour settings by performing the following function (Fig.

ASSEMBLAGE DE LA PARTIE SUPÉRIEURE DU VENTILATEUR • Enlevez la vis de serrage de la partie inférieure de l’assemblage du moteur du ventilateur en la tournant dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d’une montre (Fig. 7). • Insérez l’assemblage du moteur dans le poteau du ventilateur (Fig. 8), lorsque les deux moitiés sont alignées, réinsérez la vis de serrage (Fig. 9) et serrez en tournant dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre. Pour bien fixer la grille avant sur le ventilateur, soulevez les attaches intégrées autour sur la grille arrière et fixez ces attaches la grille avant. Fig.16 D. MONTAJE DE LA PARTE SUPERIOR DEL VENTILADOR • Retire el tornillo moleteado de la parte inferior del motor del ventilador girando hacia la izquierda (Fig. 7) • Inserte el Montaje del Motor en el Poste del Ventilador (Fig. 8), una vez que ambas mitades esté alineadas, vuelva a insertar el tornillo moleteado (Fig. 9) y apriete girando hacia la derecha. Para asegurar la Rejilla Frontal en el ventilador, levante los seguros integrados alrededor de la Rejilla Frontal y cierre estos seguros en la Rejilla Posterior. Fig.16 D. OPERACIÓN DEL VENTILADOR DE LAS SERIES HSF600 ENCENDIDO/APAGADO Para encender el ventilador, presione el Botón de Encendido ( ) ubicado en la parte inferior del panel de control (Fig. 20). OPERACIÓN DEL CONTROL REMOTO DE LAS SERIES HSF600 ENCENDIDO/APAGADO Retire el control remoto de la parte posterior del ventilador.
