272629A ADAPTER KIT FOR V5045
ASSEMBLY OF VALVE ACTUATOR TO V5045 VALVE
1. Check valve model number and install necessary quantity of shimming washer onto the extension shaft. (See Table 1)
2. Thread the position indicator disk fully onto the extension shaft finger tight. (Refer to diagram for shaft orientation.)
3. Slide the extension shaft of the previous assembly onto the stem of the V5045 valve.
4. Locate appropriate hole by rotating extension shaft/position indicator assembly while bottom edge sits on valve stem shoul-
der. Insert cotter pin and lock.
5. Position the valve actuator yoke over the position indicator disk and around the valve bonnet.
6. The valve actuator drive shaft is internally threaded to accept the extension shaft. Connect drive shaft to the extension shaft
by turning the whole valve actuator in a clockwise direction as viewed from the top. Continue turning until the drive shaft
engages the position indicator. (NOTE: This procedure assumes the valve actuator drive shaft end position to be in factory
set dimensions of 2.83 in. [71.8 mm] measured from the bottom of the yoke.)
7. Remove the plastic cover from the valve actuator. Insert the set-screw into the top of the drive shaft. (Refer to diagram.)
Tighten the set-screw with a 3/16 in. [5 mm] slotted screwdriver to lock the extension shaft assembly in place.
8. Secure U-BOLT clamp around the valve bonnet.
