The HWN500 Phone Jack allows you to connect

analog devices such as standard telephones, modems,

FAX machines, and answering machines to your Home

Wireless Network.

Note: The network Controller must already be installed

and incoming phone lines connected to it in order to

add a Phone Jack to the network. You must also have

already installed either a HWN500 Data Jack or

HWN500 Handset to the network. For additional

information, refer to the Network Reference Guide

packaged with the Controller.

1. On an idle Handset, press MENU until you reach the screen containing the

Setup option.

2. Press 9 (Setup).

3. Press 2 (Network).

4. Press 2 (Access Jack).

5. Press 1 (Add).

6. Enter the serial number of the Phone Jack being added to the network.

Press END when finished.

Note: the serial number is located on the plug side of the jack.

7. Use the keypad to enter a name for the Phone Jack.

Example

To enter the name “Fax:”

1. Press 3 three times to add “F”;

2. Press 2 one time to add “a”;

3. Press 9 three times to add “X”;

4. Press # to advance to the next space;

5. Press 0 as many times as necessary to delete the remaining unwanted

text;

6. Press END.

Note: Use the * and # keys as needed to move forward or backward.
