Safety Information (continued) Electrical Connection Grounding Instructions □□ A 15-Amp, 120-volt, 60 Hz circuit with a properly grounded outlet is required. Preferably, the fireplace will be on a dedicated circuit as other appliances on the same circuit may cause the circuit breaker to trip or the fuse to blow when the heater is in operation. The unit comes standard with 6-ft. three-wire cord, exiting from the rear of the fireplace. DO NOT exceed the current rating of the current tap.
Warranty The manufacturer warrants that your new electric fireplace is free from manufacturing and material defects for a period of one year from date of purchase, subject to the following conditions and limitations. Install and operate this electric fireplace in accordance with the installation and operating instructions furnished with the product at all times. Any unauthorized repair, alteration, willful abuse, accident, or misuse of the product shall nullify this warranty.
Pre-Installation PLANNING INSTALLATION Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package contents list and hardware contents list. Installation 1 Install front panel □□ From behind the assembly, align the holes on left front panel (C) with the corresponding holes on outer wall (B), securing with two washers (BB) and two long bolts (AA). □□ Repeat for right front panel (D). C D B B BB AA BB 2 AA Install right outer wall □□ Insert two wooden dowels (CC) into holes on right outer side of base (J). Place assembly from Step 1 onto base (J), securing with three washers (BB) and three long bolts (AA).
Installation (continued) 3 Install left outer wall □□ Insert two wooden dowels (CC) into holes on the left outer side of base (J). Attach outer wall (B). NOTE: Do not secure the left assembly yet until the center panel (F) is attached at step 5. B CC J 4 Install center panel □□ Insert one wooden dowel (CC) into each side of center panel (F). Installation (continued) 5 Install center panel □□ Carefully position the center panel (F) into place between L/R front panels. Secure each side with one washer (BB) and one long bolt (AA), and use three washers (BB) and three long bolts (AA) to secure the left side panel assembly. 1 F 1 C D AA BB 2 AA BB 6 Install top □□ Insert two wooden dowels (CC) into the top outer holes on both outer walls (B). Attach top (A), securing from underneath with six washers (BB) and six long bolts (AA).
Installation (continued) 7 Install fireplace glass front □□ From behind the assembly, attach the fireplace glass front (I), lowering it into the front groove on base (J). Secure the Glass by turning the pre-assembled plastic knobs. 2 1 I J 8 Install fireplace grate □□ Place the fireplace grate (N) by matching the bottom pins into the holes on the base (J), secure with screwing two bolts (FF) by Phillips screwdriver.
Installation (continued) 9 Install fire log □□ Remove the film from the adhesive on the top of the fireplace grate (N) and place the fire log (M) on the center of the fireplace grate (N). □□ Attach the USB cable from the heater into the USB port behind the fireplace grate (N). 1 M 2 N 3 10 Install L-bracket □□ Screw two L-bracket (EE) onto the fireplace brick wall (H) using four screws (DD).
Installation (continued) 11 Install fireplace brick wall □□ Insert the fireplace brick wall (H) into the mantel, slotting it into the grooves on base (J). □□ Secure it by using two screws (DD) into the L-bracket (EE). Installation (continued) 13 Adjust the levelers NOTE: Use the pre-assembled levelers on the base of the fireplace to level the unit. Twist the levelers counterclockwise to increase the height, or twist the levelers clockwise to decrease the height. NN WARNING: You must install the tip restraint hardware to help prevent any accidents or damage to the unit. We strongly recommend attaching the tip restraint hardware to a wall stud and your unit.
Change Door Panels (optional) 1 Change door panels NOTE: The pre-installed glass door panels can be switched out with the included wood door panel (E). □□ Remove the silicone trim along the outer edges of the glass panel on the inside of the flip down door. Start at a corner and pull to remove the four pieces. Be careful not to damage the silicone trim, as it will be used to secure the new panel. □□ Remove the glass panel from the door frame, then insert the included wood door panel (E).
Operating Instructions Control Panel Remote Control To use the remote control, first remove the plastic tab by gently pulling it out of remote control. Controls and Display The control panel will display the heater setting when the unit power is turned ON. Whichever control icon you press will display the current setting of the corresponding function. Press the control icon again to adjust the setting.
Operating Instructions (continued) NOTE: This may not exactly match the room thermostat reading as their sensors are located in different areas. □□ Hold down the FLAME SPEED ICON for 10 seconds to toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius. “F” or “C” will be displayed on the control panel (°F/°C can only be toggled from the control panel and will not work if using the remote control). □□ See HEATER OVERRIDE section to disengage the heater.
Care and Maintenance □□ Make sure the unit is turned OFF, unplugged and the heating elements of heater are cool whenever you are cleaning the heater or fireplace. □□ Clean the metal trim using a water-dampened soft, clean cloth. DO NOT use brass polish or household cleaners as these products will damage the metal trim. □□ The motors used on the fan and the flame generator assembly are pre-lubricated for extended bearing life and require no further lubrication.
Troubleshooting Problem Possible cause Error E1 displayed on control panel. The overheat sensor has been engaged. Solution Unplug unit, wait 15-20 minutes, then the sensor will reset itself. Plug the unit back in and turn on the heater. If the problem persists, call customer service. NOTE: The other functions will work normally excluding the heater. Error E2 displayed on control panel. The thermostat sensor is broken Unplug unit, wait 15-20 minutes, then the sensor will reset itself.
