Reverse steps to install new motor. Use yellow wire nut to
tie white wires together. Ensure all connections are secure and
back panel is fastened in place prior to start up.
Picture instructions shown represent models MC37/M150, MC61/
M250. See underlined notes pertaining to other models.
1) Ensure unit is turned off and unplugged.
2) Remove back panel from your cooler by removing the 2 phillips
screws from the upper back side of the cooler. Push panel up and
pull out bottom.
3) Pull out back section of media pad.
4) Remove prop by turning center nut clockwise to loosen. Once nut,
lock washer & washer is removed, pull straight back on prop to
remove. Note: flat on shaft must align with flat on prop when re-
installing.
5) Next, remove media panel from rear left side of cooler by remov-
ing the media pins and clips. Once clips are unscrewed, pins can
be pulled through the outside of the cooler. Remove pad. Note:
Side pads on MC61 & MC92 are removed by unscrewing single
phillips screw located on outside panels at the top. Once screw is
removed, slide panels up and pull out on bottom to remove.
6) Cut cable tie from horizontal motor support. Untwist cable har-
nesses to free wires going up to box.
7) Move to control panel. Open control panel by inserting flathead
screwdriver into slots at top of control panel and prying open. Flip
panel over to access wires. Note: Take pic of wire locations to
reference when installing new motor. For models MC18/MC26/
MC92/M350, control panel will need to be accessed by removing
control box back cover from the back, inside of cooler.
8) Disconnect 3 wires going to center speed control switch. Use a
thin nose pliers to squeeze the tab on the end of the female spade
connectors and pull to remove. Note: for models MC92V & M350,
there is a 4 pin “quick connector” that needs to be disconnected vs
individual wires running to the switch.
9) Disconnect white common motor wire from group. Remove wire
nut to disconnect.
10) Disconnect red & white capacitor wires. Discard old capacitor.
11) Disconnect green/yellow ground wire by removing screw in corner
of control box to free eyelet terminal.
12) Pull motor cord wires down through opening in switch box.
13) Unscrew 4 phillips motor screws to free up motor. Remove motor.
Note: MC18 motor has 3 screws holding motor in place.
14) The replacement motor includes a new capacitor. Connect the
new capacitor once replacement motor wires are run up through
bottom of control box.
