PRIOR TO INSTALLATION:

Keep product in its packaging and away from

humidity or direct heat until you are ready to

install it.

The wood may bow slightly upward at the

edges if it is stored for a long period of time.

To return the surface to its original condition,

turn it over and lay it on its face until it’s

reformed to its original shape.

Check the color and ﬁnish of your surface before

installation. You cannot return or exchange the

product once it has been altered or installed.

Keep in mind that wood is a natural material, so

each surface can vary slightly in color, tone, and

characteristics. This adds to its beauty.

Lightly sand all surfaces of your CenterPointe

countertop with 120 grit sandpaper, in the

direction of the wood grain, prior to applying

ﬁnish.

Apply a ﬁnish, to all surfaces of your countertop

within 72 hours of opening the package to prevent

moisture damage.

Typical ﬁnish options include

oil, wax, sealant, stain, urethanes, and acrylic.

DURING INSTALLATION:

Re-apply ﬁnish, according to the manufactur-

er’s instructions, to any areas that have been

cut during the installation process.

Always use protective equipment when

cutting and installing the wood countertops.

FOR DAILY USE:

Clean the countertop in accordance with the

ﬁnish manufacturer’s instructions.

Do not use harsh or abrasive cleansers or

chemicals to clean the countertop.

Do not place hot items directly on the surface.

Avoid cutting directly on the wood, as this

could damage the surface.

The following care and maintenance instructions will help extend the life and performance

of your CenterPointe butcher block countertop.
