Choose a location to install the in-ground stake (E), prepare a hole using
a tool such as a screwdriver (sold separately) and install the in-ground
stake (E). (Fig 1)
Gently insert fixture head (A) to into the in-ground stake (E). (Fig 2)
ATTACHING & INSTALLING LIGHT (IN-DECK)
If desired, light shielding cap (C) can be snapped onto fixture head (A) to
direct light outwards. The light shielding cap (C) can be moved and
oriented after installation. (Fig. 5)
Detach and place the wire connector (B) on opposite sides of the low
voltage cable (not included) from the transformer (not included) where
the fixture will be located.
Align and fit the main low voltage cable vertically in the slot of the wire
connector as shown.
Press the wire connector (B) together until it is fully seated and locked
around the cable. Preset prongs will pierce the cable insulation and
establish contact.
Turn on the power unit. If the light fixture does not
turn on, repeat operations 2 and 3.
Once the wire connector (B) is in place, we recommend wrapping it in
electrical tape (not included) for additional protection.
D - Light shielding
cap plug
C - Light shielding cap
E
Mark location for center of deck light.
For each light, using a hole saw, drill a
2-1/2 in. hole through
deck board. (Fig. 3)
Thread wire with connector through
hole, then press fixture head into location.
Optional cap and plug:
Light shielding cap plug (D) can be installed into either opening on light
shielding cap to allow light in only one direction. (Fig. 5)

NOTE: Do not use a hammer. If the ground is hard, use water
to soften it or a trowel to loosen the soil.
WARNING: Never push the fixture into the ground by the
fixture head (A) or use a hammer to insert the in-ground
stake (E) into the ground.
WARNING: The wire connector (B) contacts have sharp edges for
piercing the main low voltage cable. To avoid injury, do not touch
the metal contacts.
CAUTION: The wire from low voltage power unit should be 12-16
AWG type underground low energy circuit cable.
IMPORTANT: Protect the wiring by routing it in close proximity to the
light fitting, or next to a building structure such as a house or a deck.
The landscape wire and connector can also be hidden under stone
or buried under grass at a maximum depth of 6 in. (12.54 cm).
Do not submerge the fixture in water.
