3-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
The manufacturer warrants this lighting fixture against defects in materials and workmanship for a
period of three years from the date of purchase. If within this period the product is found to be defective
in material or workmanship, the product must be returned, with a copy of the bill of sale as proof of
purchase, to the original place of purchase. The manufacturer will, at its option, repair, replace, or refund
the purchase price to the original purchaser or consumer. This warranty does not cover light bulbs or the
fixture becoming damaged due to misuse, accidental damage, improper handling and/or installation, and
specifically excludes liability for direct, incidental, or consequential damages. As some states do not
allow exclusions or limitations on an implied warranty, so the above exclusions and limitations may not
apply. This warranty gives you specific rights and you may also have other rights that vary from state to
state.

Read all instructions prior to beginning the
installation process.
Make sure the power is turned off at the electrical
panel box before beginning your installation. Turning
the power off at the wall switch is not sufcient to
prevent electrical shock.
For hardwire, this product is intended to be mounted
to a 4 in. square x 2-1/8 in. deep metal octagon outlet
box. The box must be directly supported by the
building structure.
All electrical connections must be in accordance with local codes and the National Electrical Code. If
you are unfamiliar with methods of installing electrical wiring, secure the services of a qualied
licensed electrician.
This product has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a feature to reduce the risk of
electric shock. This plug will t in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully in the
outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied electrician. Never use with an
extension cord unless plug can be fully inserted. Do not alter the plug.

Care and Cleaning
To clean the xture, rst disconnect the power to the xture by turning off the circuit breaker or by
removing the fuse at the fuse box.
Use a dry or slightly dampened, clean cloth (use clean water, never use a solvent) to wipe the interior
and exterior surfaces of the xture.
Allow the xture to dry completely before power is restored.
CAUTION: Do not use chemical solvents or harsh abrasives

This product can be either a plug-in type xture or a hardwire type xture if you don’t want
to use the plug in cord. You can follow the related installation instruction when selecting one.

Installing the mounting bracket assembly
FOR PLUG IN
Determine the wall location you want the xture
body to be.
Drill two 5/16 inch holes in the wall. The distance
between the two holes is 3-1/2 inch.
Attach the mounting bracket assembly (CC) to the
wall using the anchors (DD) and self-tapping
screws (EE).
FOR HARDWIRE
Make sure the power is off.
Pull the supply wires down out of the outlet box.
Attach the mounting bracket assembly (CC) to the
outlet box by using outlet box screws (AA).

Attaching the canopy to the wall
FOR PLUG IN
Insert the decorative tube (C) into the hole at
canopy bottom and screw the nut (KK) to afx it.
Attach the canopy (B) to the mounting bracket
assembly (CC) and afx it using decorative nuts
(FF).
FOR HARDWIRE
□ Loose the screw (II) to remove the cover (GG).
Unscrew two wire connectors (BB). Keep these two
wire connectors (BB) for next electrical connection use.
Cut off the wires on both side of cord clamp (LL).
Unscrew the nut (KK) and pull out the plug-in cord
and nut (KK) and decorative tube (C).
Cover the hole at canopy bottom with the plastic cap
(JJ).

FOR HARDWIRE
Making the electrical connections:
Wrap the ground wire from the outlet box around the
ground screw (HH), and screw the ground screw (HH)
to the mounting bracket assembly (CC) using
screwdriver.
Connect the negative wire (white wire) from the
xture to the negative wire from the supply circuit,
the positive wire (black wire) from the xture to the
positive wire from the supply circuit, and the ground
wire (bare) from the xture to the ground wire from
the supply circuit using the wire connectors (BB).
Wrap electrical tape (not included) around the wire
connectors (BB), and ensure they are secure.
Push all excess wires and wire connections back into
the outlet box.
Attach the canopy (B) to the mounting bracket
assembly and afx it using decorative nuts (FF).
CAUTION: Refer to the re-lamping label located on

Installing the shade and bulb and adjusting
the direction on vertical
Unscrew the socket ring (MM) from the socket.
Attach the shade (D) to the xture body and afx it using
the socket ring (MM).
Install the bulb (E) (included only for model #EW11475BK1
-D) into the bulb socket on the xture body (A).
Loosen the buttery screw (P) (total 3 pieces) and adjust
the light on vertical to your desired direction. Then tighten
to hold it in place.
Rotate the on/off switch (NN) at socket to turn on or off the
light.
