Safety Notes • The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only. • Protect the product from dirt, moisture and overheating and us it in dry rooms only.
4. Information and notes before initial startup Note Note – Optimising reception • Connect the product to a socket that has been approved for the device. • When using a multi-socket power strip, make sure that the sum power draw of all the connected devices does not exceed its maximum throughput rating. • The electrical socket must always be easily accessible. • If you will not be using the product for a long period of time, disconnect it from mains power.

DAB The radio receives all the conventional digital radio frequencies in a range from 174 MHz to 240 MHz (band III, channels 5A to 13F). • Enable DAB operating mode on the radio by repeatedly pressing [mode]: b) [menu] [mode] Station list • Alternatively, press [DAB] on the remote control to switch directly to this operating mode. 7.1 Suchlauf/ Automatischer Suchlauf The automatic DAB channel search scans DAB band III for available stations.
7.4 Favourites You can save up to 30 of your favourite stations for quick and direct access. 7.4.3 Managing favourites with the remote control Favourites 1-10 • The included remote control has number keys • from 1 to 0 (0 ≙ 10). Each of these number keys can be assigned with a favourite (for each reception mode). • To save a station, press and hold the corresponding number key on the remote control (approx. three seconds).
To change the setting, proceed as follows: 8.2 Automatic station search • Press and hold [enter/navigate] until the automatic station search starts. • The radio stops the search and starts playback when it finds a station. • Press [enter/navigate] to continue the search until the next station is found. 8.4.2 Opening favourites Press [memory] to open the overview window with the list of favourite stations. 8.5 Audio settings For some stations with a weak signal, quality can be improved slightly by playing them in mono. You can enable this function in the menu (Mono only), and the radio will automatically switch to mono reception when signal quality is poor. To change this option, proceed as follows: [memory] Use [enter/navigate] to select one of your favourites.
10. Bluetooth You can pair your terminal device with the radio using Bluetooth and use it as a playback device. You can control playback directly on the terminal device. You can adjust the volume on the radio, as well. Note – Bluetooth Password Some terminal devices require a password in order to connect to another Bluetooth device. • If your terminal device requests a password for connection to the radio, enter 0000. Alarm clock: • Select On to configure the alarm settings. The alarm clock is activated automatically when you finish configuring the settings. • Select Off to deactivate the selected alarm and its settings. 11. Snooze The radio has a timer function, which switches the radio to standby mode after a pre-defined length of time. • Repeatedly press [SNOOZE] on the remote control to set the desired time interval (off/15/30/45/60/90/120 minutes).
12.2 Activating/deactivating the alarm • Select alarm 1 or 2 by repeatedly pressing [alarm] or by turning [enter/navigate] and the option Alarm on/Alarm off to activate or deactivate the selected alarm (1/2). • The alarm icon 1 / 2 is displayed when the alarm function is activated. 13. System settings In the system settings, you can configure all settings and access important information about the radio. 13.

Care and Maintenance • Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents. • If you do not use the product for a long time, turn off the device and disconnect it from the power supply. Store it in a clean, dry place out of direct sunlight. 19.
