Guardrail Knuckle
Guardrail Knuckle installation locations must allow for complete guardrail system to meet all
applicable OSHA regulations, as determined by Competent Person.
Materials: galvanized steel.
Compliant with all OSHA 1910 and OSHA 1926 Subpart M
regulations when used as component of compliant guardrail system.

WARNING
Fall Prevention: Guardrail Knuckle may be used in Fall Prevention applications ONLY. Fall
Prevention Systems are placed around the leading edges of any and all fall hazards to
prevent a worker from going over an edge, and may be used in substitute of fall protection
or safety netting systems. Installation requirements for Guardrail Knuckle set forth in these
instructions MUST be adhered to. Personal Fall Arrest, Work Positioning, Climbing, Rescue,
and any other systems must NEVER be connected to Fall Prevention Systems.
Fastener and substrate requirements:
Competent Person must make final determination regarding fastener compatibility.
• Wood: Minimum ¾” CDX and ¾“ underlying support beam. Fasteners: (2) ½” x 2” lag bolts.
• Metal: Minimum ¼” steel flange. Fasteners: (2) ½“ x 2” hex head bolts.
• Concrete: Minimum 4” slab. Fasteners: (2) ½” x 4” concrete bolts.
Prior to installation, plan and lay out complete guardrail system, including installation locations for all
Guardrail Knuckles.
Use in combination with Guardian Fall Protection G-Rail
(part #s 15183, 15182, 15181, and 15202) or other
compatible guardrail, as determined by Competent Person.
