Residential Guardrail System is suitable for the following
applications:

Residential Guardrail System may be used in Fall Prevention applications ONLY. Fall
Prevention Systems are placed around the leading edges of any and all fall hazards to
prevent a worker from going over an edge, and may be used in substitute of Fall Protection
or safety netting systems. Installation requirements for Residential Guardrail System set
forth in this manual MUST be adhered to. Personal Fall Arrest, Work Positioning, Climbing,
Rescue, and any other systems must NEVER be connected to Fall Prevention Systems.

WARNING
Use of equipment in unintended applications may result in serious
injury or death. NEVER make any connections to guardrail systems.
Materials: galvanized steel.
Surfaces more than 6’ above lower levels require the use of a Fall Prevention or Fall Protection system.
Residential Guardrail Systems may be placed a MAXIMUM of 8’ apart.
Roof slope MUST be between 6/12 - 12/12 (vertical/horizontal).
All guardrail posts, guardrails, and all other equipment must be selected and deemed compatible by a
Competent Person. All guardrails MUST be compatible 2” x 4“ or 2” x 6“ construction grade lumber, or
compatible snap-on metal rails.
Installs with (4) 16d nails OR (4) 2½” #10 Primeguard screws . Fasteners must fully embed in substrate.
