Personal Fall Arrest: Parapet Anchors may be used to support a MAXIMUM 1 Personal Fall Arrest System
(PFAS) for use in Fall Arrest applications. Structure must withstand loads applied in the directions permitted by
the system of at least 5,000 lbs. Maximum free fall is 6‘, or up to 12’ if used in combination with equipment
explicitly certified for such use. Applicable D-ring: Dorsal.
Restraint: Parapet Anchors may be used in Restraint applications. Restraint systems prevent workers from
reaching the leading edge of a fall hazard. Always account for fully deployed length of lanyard/SRL. Structure
must withstand loads applied in the directions permitted by the system of at least 1,000 lbs. No free fall is
permitted. Restraint systems may only be used on surfaces with slopes up to 4/12 (vertical/horizontal).
Applicable D-rings: Dorsal, Chest, Side, Shoulder.
For all applications: worker weight capacity range (including all clothing, tools, and equipment) is 130-310 lbs.

Fall Prevention: Parapet Anchor Systems may be used in Fall Prevention applications. Fall Prevention
Systems are placed around the leading edges of any and all fall hazards to prevent a worker from going over
an edge, and may be used in substitute of Fall Protection or safety netting systems. Installation requirements
for Parapet Anchor Systems set forth in this manual MUST be adhered to. Personal Fall Arrest, Work
Positioning, Climbing, Rescue, and any other systems must NEVER be connected to Fall Prevention Systems.
DO NOT use simultaneously as Fall Arrest anchor and Fall Prevention system.

Materials: zinc-plated steel.
Surfaces more than 6’ above lower levels require the use of a Fall Prevention or Fall Protection system.
Parapet Anchor adjusts to fit parapet walls between 4” - 20” width.
Minimum parapet wall height: 12”.
MAXIMUM spacing between Parapet Anchors: 8’.
All guardrail posts, guardrails, and all other equipment must be
selected and deemed compatible by a Competent Person. All
guardrails MUST be compatible 2” x 4“ or 2” x 6“ construction
grade lumber, or compatible snap-on metal rails.
