Charging and Operation The GPO Brooklyn Boombox features an integrated rechargeable battery, which allows the unit to be used anywhere, providing you with music on the go. Before turning on your Brooklyn Boombox for the first time, please ensure that the device is fully charged. 1. Remove the unit from the packaging and place on a flat, stable surface 2. Use the provided 240V power cable to plug the unit into the mains 3.
Setting the LED clock When the unit is on standby, a 24 hour LED clock will be displayed for 10 seconds if you press the menu button on the front of the unit. The time can be set on the clock whilst the unit remains in standby mode: 1. Press and hold the central part of the Search Knob on the front of the unit for two seconds 2. The hour value on the clock will be highlighted 3.
Volume and Balance When rotating the volume control from 0-30, the LED display will notify you when you have reached MIN or MAX volume. The balance control is set to balance 00 as standard. The control can be used to change the balance between the left and right speakers, with the change displayed on the LED display. The treble and bass controls can be set between -7 and +7 to reach your desired level. Radio The GPO Brooklyn Boombox offers FM and DAB radio play functions. FM 1.
DAB 1. Turn the unit on using the Power Button 2. Turn the Function Knob to Radio 3. Move the Radio Mode switch to the DAB position 4. The Radio LED light will be illuminated 5. If you have previously scanned for DAB channels, go directly to step number 11 6. To scan automatically, press the Menu button and then use the external part of the Search Knob to select Full Scan 7. Push in the central part of the Search Knob to begin the automatic DAB station scan 8.
DAB Factory Reset To perform a DAB Factory Reset, press the Menu Button, then use the Search Knob to select System, then Reset. You will be asked to confirm your decision by using the Search Knob to select “Y” on the LED before pressing the Search Knob a final time. DAB Software Version Check To check the version of DAB software the unit is running, press the Menu Button, then use the Search Knob to select System, then “SW VER.” The software can be updated using a USB stick loaded with the new software.
Tape 1. Turn the unit on using the Power Button 2. Press Eject on the tape control panel to open the cassette tape slot 3. Insert a cassette tape into the cassette tape slot on the front of the unit 4. Close the slot 5. Turn the Function Knob to Tape 6. The Tape LED light will be illuminated and the timer clock will begin counting up from zero 7. This counter can be reset at any point using the reset button next to the timer clock 8.
CD 1. Turn the unit on using the Power button 2. Turn the Function Knob to CD 3. The CD LED light will be illuminated 4. Insert a CD into the CD tray on top of the unit and close the tray 5. PLEASE NOTE: The label of the CD should face the REAR of the unit when inserted. If you experience a read error, eject the CD, turn it around and re-insert it. 6. Use the play, tracking and stop buttons on the unit to play the CD 7. To skip to the next track, tap the Next button once 8.
USB 1. Turn the unit on using the Power button 2. Turn the Function Knob to USB 3. Insert a USB drive into the USB slot 4. The USB LED will be illuminated, and the LED display will show READ 5. Playback will begin automatically 6. Use the play, tracking and stop buttons on the unit to play tracks from the USB 7. To move forward or backwards through a track, press the FFWD or REW button once, and then press Play/Pause when you reach the correct location on the track 8.
USB Recording While using unit’s CD or Cassette playback mode, you can press the record button to record music to a blank USB stick. 1. Press and hold the record button on the main control panel, NOT the record button on the tape control panel 2. The LED display will show READY 3. Press and hold the record button a second time to confirm recording of the song which is playing 4. The LED display will now display a track number and the number of seconds recorded 5.
Bluetooth 1. Turn the unit on using the Power Button 2. Turn the Function Knob to BT 3. The BT LED will be illuminated 4. Open your Bluetooth-enabled device and use the search function to find and pair with “GPO Brooklyn” 5. If prompted, enter the key 0000 6. When your device shows that the unit has been paired, use the controls on your device or the unit to choose and play tracks 7. While Bluetooth mode is enabled, the unit’s control panel will not affect playback 8.
AUX 1. Turn the Function Knob to AUX 2. The AUX LED will be illuminated 3. Use the AUX-IN line on the rear of the unit to connect an external music source 4. The unit will then play back music from this source through the main speakers 5. Use the AUX-OUT line on the rear of the unit to connect external speakers 6. The unit will then play back music from your chosen mode through the external speakers 7.
Troubleshooting No Power to the Device Make sure that the unit is fully charged and that the charging indicator is blue If not, please charge the device using the supplied charging cable. If your battery will not charge, contact GPO Retro directly for a replacement and instructions. DO NOT open the battery compartment without consulting us first CD isn’t Reading If you have a CD read error, you may have inserted the CD the wrong way.

L aden und Betrieb Die GPO Brooklyn Boombox ist mit einem integrierten, wiederaufladbaren Akku ausgestattet und kann so überall betrieben werden – Musikgenuss unterwegs ist garantiert. Bevor Sie die Brooklyn Boombox das erste Mal einschalten, muss der Akku voll geladen sein. 1. Nehmen Sie das Gerät aus der Verpackung und stellen Sie es auf eine flache, stabile Oberfläche 2. Chargement et fonctionnement Le GPO Brooklyn Boombox est doté d’une batterie rechargeable intégrée, permettant à l’appareil d’être utilisé où que ce soit, et vous offrant une expérience musicale en mouvement. Avant d’allumer votre Brooklyn Boombox pour la première fois, veuillez vous assurer que l’appareil est totalement chargé. 1. Retirez l’appareil de son emballage et placez-le sur une surface plate et stable 2. Utilisez le câble d’alimentation 240 V pour brancher l’appareil sur le secteur 3.

L’heure peut être réglée sur l’horloge tandis que l’appareil demeure en veille : 1. Pressez et maintenez la partie centrale du Bouton de recherche sur le devant de l’appareil pendant deux secondes 2. La valeur de l’heure de l’horloge sera sélectionnée 3.
Volume et balance En tournant la commande de volume de 0 à 30, l’affichage LED vous notifiera lorsque vous avez atteint le niveau MIN ou MAX. La commande de balance est réglée sur 00 par défaut. La commande peut être utilisée pour changer la balance entre le haut-parleur gauche ou droit, et le changement sera affiché sur l’affichage LED. Les commandes des aigus et des basses peuvent être réglées entre -7 et +7 pour atteindre votre niveau désiré.

On vous demandera de confirmer votre décision en utilisant le Bouton de recherche pour sélectionner « Y » sur l’affichage LED avant d’appuyer sur le Bouton de recherche une dernière fois.
Cassette 1. Allumez l’appareil en appuyant sur le Bouton d’alimentation 2. Appuyez sur la touche d’éjection sur le panneau de commande cassette afin d’ouvrir la fente cassette 3. Insérez une cassette dans la fente cassette sur le devant de l’appareil 4. Fermez la fente cassette 5. Réglez le Bouton multifonction sur Tape (cassette) 6. La lumière LED s’illuminera et l’horloge commencera à compter à partir de zéro 7.
CD 1. Allumez l’appareil en appuyant sur le Bouton d’alimentation 2. Réglez le Bouton multifonction sur CD 3. La lumière LED CD s’illuminera 4. Insérez un CD dans le compartiment à CD sur le haut de l’appareil puis fermez le compartiment 5. REMARQUE : L’étiquette du CD doit faire face à l’ARRIÈRE de l’appareil lorsqu’inséré. Si vous recevez un message d’erreur, éjectez le CD, retournez-le puis réinsérez-le. 6. Utilisez les boutons Lecture, Repérage et Arrêt sur l’appareil pour lire un CD 7.
USB 1. Allumez l’appareil en appuyant sur le Bouton d’alimentation 2. Réglez le Bouton multifonction sur USB 3. Insérez une clé USB dans le port USB 4. La LED USB s’illuminera, et l’affichage LED indiquera READ (lecture) 5. La lecture commencera automatiquement 6. Utilisez les boutons Lecture, Repérage et Arrêt sur l’appareil pour lire les pistes du dispositif USB 7.
Enregistrement USB Lors de l’utilisation du mode lecture CD ou Cassette de l’appareil, vous pouvez appuyer sur le bouton Enregistrement pour enregistrer de la musique sur une clé USB vierge. 1. Appuyez et maintenez le bouton Enregistrement sur le panneau de commande principal, et non PAS le bouton d’enregistrement sur le panneau de commande de la cassette 2. Opladen en bedienen De GPO Brooklyn Boombox heeft een ingebouwde accu waarmee het apparaat overal kan worden gebruikt, zodat u onderweg van Uw muziek kan genieten. CD 1. Accendere l’unità con il pulsante di accensione. 2. Girare la manopola di funzione su CD. 3. Si illumina la spia LED CD. 4. Inserire un CD nel lettore nella parte superiore dell’unità e chiudere lo sportellino. 5. NB: l’etichetta sul CD deve essere rivolta verso il RETRO dell’unità quando è inserito. Se viene rilevato un errore di lettura, espellere il CD, girarlo e reinserirlo. 6. Usare i pulsanti di riproduzione, avanzamento e/o riavvolgimento e arresto sull’unità per riprodurre il CD. 7.
USB 1. Accendere l’unità con il pulsante di accensione. 2. Girare la manopola di funzione su USB. 3. Inserire una chiavetta USB nella relativa porta. 4. Il LED USB si illumina e sul display a LED compare la scritta LETTURA. 5. La riproduzione si avvia automaticamente. 6. Usare i pulsanti di riproduzione, avanzamento e/o riavvolgimento e arresto sull’unità per riprodurre le tracce dalla chiave USB. 7.
Registrazione USB Usando la modalità di riproduzione CD o Cassetta dell’unità, si può premere il pulsante Registra per registrare musica su una chiavetta USB vuota. 1. Premere e tenere premuto il pulsante Registra sul pannello di controllo principale, NON il pulsante Registra sul pannello di controllo del nastro. 2. Sul display a LED viene visualizzata la scritta PRONTO. 3. Premere e tenere premuto il pulsante Registra una seconda volta per confermare la registrazione della canzone in riproduzione. 4.
Bluetooth 1. Accendere l’unità con il pulsante di accensione. 2. Girare la manopola di funzione su BT. 3. Si illumina la spia LED BT. 4. Aprire il dispositivo abilitato all’uso del Bluetooth e usare la funzione di ricerca per trovare il “GPO Brooklyn” ed effettuare l’accoppiamento. 5. Se richiesto, inserire il codice 0000. 6. Quando il dispositivo mostra che l’unità è stata accoppiata, usare i comandi sul dispositivo o sull’unità per scegliere e riprodurre le tracce. 7.
AUX 1. Girare la manopola di funzione su AUX. 2. Si illumina la spia LED AUX. 3. Usare la linea AUX-IN sul retro dell’unità per collegare una sorgente di musica esterna. 4. L’unità riproduce quindi la musica da questa sorgente attraverso gli altoparlanti principali. 5. Usare la linea AUX-OUT sul retro dell’unità per collegare gli altoparlanti esterni. 6. L’unità riproduce quindi la musica dalla modalità prescelta attraverso gli altoparlanti esterni. 7.
Risoluzione dei problemi Manca l’alimentazione al dispositivo. Verificare che l’unità sia completamente carica e che la spia di ricarica sia blu. In caso contrario, caricare lo stereo usando il cavo di alimentazione fornito. Se la batteria non si carica, contattare GPO Retro direttamente per richiedere una batteria sostitutiva e istruzioni. NON aprire il vano della batteria senza averci prima consultati. Il CD non viene letto.
Manutenzione del prodotto Staccare l’unità dalla presa e i cavi collegati dopo l’uso. Non lasciare l’unità collegata alla presa una volta che la batteria è completamente carica. Non aprire il vano della batteria. Non spostare l’unità una volta che è stato inserito il CD perché potrebbe subire graffi.
