Recommendations about desk surface for optical mouse
This product utilizes an Agilent optical IC, it is recommended to use a light color and
plain desk surface to ensure a proper and correct recognition of the cursor movement,
and to reduce the consumption of electricity. Desk surface with wooden patterns will
cause a trembling movement of the cursor due to an improper recognition by the optic
lens. On the other hand, dark colored desk surface has an important light absorbency
which increases energy consumption. Optical IC provides a greater electric current
intensity to recognize signal. Glistening desk surface, such as glass should be avoided,
as it can’t reflect signals. Laying a blank paper sheet on the desk surface is the best way
to provide a proper mouse pad for the optical mouse.
Patented energy saving device
To extend the battery lifespan, this product has incorporated an energy saving
mechanism. Optical LED light goes out completely after a certain interval if the mouse
remains in standby condition. The mouse resumes its function when it is awaken. LED
light turns on immediately after shaking it gently. You can also try moving the mouse
around or pressing the left or right button. Thanks to this energy saving mechanism,
battery lifespan is expected to be double, depending on usage conditions.
Rechargeable batteries can be used
Both alkaline batteries and rechargeable batteries are recommended for use with this
product. However, both types of batteries should not be mixed up and used at the same
time (i.e. combining an alkaline battery with a rechargeable battery) in order to avoid
risks of explosion. Using rechargeable batteries may result in reduced expense and is
less harmful to the environment.
