Air Flow control
Air Flow components
The Air Flow control includes the following components:
• air filter in the air intake on the back of the Vivid E80/E90/
E95
• fans inside the Vivid E80/E90/E95
• temperature sensors several places inside the Vivid E80/
E90/E95
• temperature control software, running on the BEP
Software control
Software, running on the BEP, samples the temperature on each
sensor.
• If the temperature rises, fan speed (and air flow) is
increased.
• If the temperature decrease, the fan speed decrease.
If the temperature increase over a pre-defined level for each
sensor, the Vivid E80/E90/E95 will shut down. It will then need to
rest for a period of time, until the temperature inside the Vivid
E80/E90/E95 has decreased to an acceptable value, before it is
possible to turn it on again.
If the Ultrasound system power down due to high temperature
inside the Ultrasound system, it may indicate that the air filter
need to be dusted or it may indicate a failure situation.
