Simple three-step installation
Zoneline units are de signed for easy in stallation, off or flush with the
floor. When the sleeve is in stalled, the chassis simply slides into place.
Compatibility with exist ing Zoneline wall sleeves and rear grilles
simplifies retrofit installations. A new chassis simply slides into the
already installed wall case; the existing rear grille may be used as is, or
with a minor modifi cation for greater operating efficiency.
The exclusive Quick Connect power supply kit with all models makes it
easy to connect the new unit to power sources already in place.
1. Frame the opening. The RAB77B SMC wall sleeve requires an
opening of 16-1/2" high x 42-3/8" wide, while the RAB81 or RAB81B
wall sleeve requires an opening of 16-1/4" high x 42-1/4" wide.
Position the sleeve, secure it to the studs and then caulk. Complete
instructions are furnished with each unit.
2. Connect the electrical supply. Each Zoneline unit requires a
230/208V or 265V power supply. It is strongly recom mended that
electrical connections be made by a quali fied electrician. All wiring,
including installation of the receptacle, must be in accordance with
local codes.
3. Slide-in chassis. With the wall sleeve, electrical receptacle and exterior
grille in place, the separate chassis simply slides into position. Install the
room side cabinet, and plug into the electrical receptacle. You are now
ready for many years of quiet comfort.
ELECTRICAL WIRING
All wiring, including installation of receptacle, must be made in
accordance with local electrical codes and regulations.
Note: Aluminum wiring may pose special problems—consult
a qualified electrician.
Cooling sizes
All units come in four nominal cooling sizes: 7,000, 9,000, 12,000
and 15,000 BTUH.
Resistance heat
Resistance heat or backup heat output is determined by power
connection kits (15A, 20A or 30A).
Grille options
RAG60 (Stamped Aluminum)
RAG67 Extruded Aluminum Architectural Grille
Molded Exterior Architectural Louvers:
RAG61 (Beige), RAG62 (Maple) and RAG63 (Dark Brown)
Ducted applications
AZ45 and AZ65 Series can be used with ductwork to heat or cool
more than one room. RAK6053 Duct Adapter is applied to top of case
over air discharge. RAK601B Duct Extension is applied to right or left
of adapter. Locally fabricated ductwork may be added to extend to
maximum recommended straight line distance (no turns or bends) of
15 feet. Remote thermostat recommended with ducted applications.
Electrical connection
230/208V units may be plugged into a receptacle. 265V units and
special-application 230/208V units require direct connection. See Architects
and Engineers Design Data Manual for electrical connection information,
including use of sub-base for direct-connected units. Installation must comply
with local electrical codes and regulations.

GE ZONELINE SPECIFICATIONS HEATER WATTAGE
Each line cord kit has an integral Leakage Current Detection and Interruption (LCDI) device as required by National Electrical Code (NEC) and Underwriters
Laboratories (UL) for units manufactured after August 1, 2004. Wall case and exterior grille are also required for new construction.
*30 amp heater wattage will be reduced in low fan operation.

GE ZONELINE SPECIFICATIONS POWER CONNECTION KITS
AND HEATER WATTAGE
Power connection kits are required on all Zoneline chassis. (See chart on page 000.)
The correct kit for the installation is determined by the voltage and amperage of the electrical circuit and the means of connecting the unit
to the building wiring. If the unit is to be plugged in to a receptacle, a line cord kit would be used; if the unit is to be permanently connected,
a permanent connection kit would be used. Cord set units of 265 volts must be installed in compliance with National Electrical Code.®
POWER CONNECTION KITS
Required on all models. See specification sheet for heater KW and branch circuit ampacity.
