Window Installation Instructions 1 WINDOW REQUIREMENTS 3 PREPARE THE WINDOW • These instructions are for a standard double-hung window. You will need to modify them for other types of windows. Cut the window sash seal to the proper length. Peel off the backing and attach the seal to the underside of the window sash. • All supporting parts must be secured to firm wood, masonry or metal. • The electrical outlet must be within reach of the power cord. 181⁄2″ min.
Window Installation Instructions 6 PREPARE THE CASE 5 REMOVE THE AIR CONDITIONER FROM THE CASE A Remove the backing from the top mounting rail seal strip and attach it to the bottom of the top mounting rail. Cut to size. A Remove the 4 screws on each side of the case. Keep the 2 front side ground screws for later use. Keep them in a safe location. B Install the top mounting rail with 6 type A screws from the outside of the case.

Lower the window behind the top mounting rail. Pull the bottom of the case forward so that the bottom mounting rail is tight against the back of the window sill. Mount the case to the window sill using 6 type B screws. Drill pilot holes, if necessary.
Window Installation Instructions 8 INSTALL THE SECURITY 9 INSTALL THE AIR CONDITIONER BRACKET AND THE FOAM TOP WINDOW GASKET IN THE CASE A Slide the air conditioner into the case. Reinstall the 2 front side ground screws removed earlier on each side of the case. A Attach the security bracket with a type B screw. IMPORTANT: The ground screws must be reinstalled to ensure a proper ground. B Place the bottom inner case gasket between the bottom of the air conditioner and the inside bottom of the case.
Through-the-Wall Installation Instructions—Optional 1 IMPORTANT (cont.) The case may be installed through-the-wall in both existing and new construction. Read completely, then follow step-by-step. NOTE: Except for the V-support assemblies (included), obtain all materials locally for mounting the air conditioner through-the-wall.
