FOREWORD Thank you for purchasing the RUNOFF “Yorkie-pita” GM-10 distance meter for golf. This distance meter provides a simple way to measure the distance between the player and the pin. Once the mother unit in back of the pin is calibrated, the distance from the player to the pin can be measured by simply aiming the child unit at the pin and pushing a button. Operation of the child unit is simple, but the mother unit must ba re calibrated when the position of the cup is changed.

Installing the Mother Unit . @ The mother unit is attached to either a standard pole or a long pole {optional} and installed at the far side of the green. Here, only an outline of the procedure is presented. See the separate “Mother Unit Installation Instructions” for details on the actual installation procedure. Mounting the Pole ® Insert the antenna into the pole. @) Using the special tool, fasten the pole to the mother unit with the screws. CAUTION Be sure to attach the antenna fo the specified pole.
© Installing the Mother Unit © nl Installing on the Green ® Install the pole in a location at least 5 yards from the pin but not more than 100 yards from the pin such that it will not get in the way. If the terrain is hilly and there are places from which it is difficult for the ultrasonic signal to reach the mother unit, use the optional long pole to raise the mother unit as high as possible. Calibration (Entering the distance between the pin and the mother unity ~~ ® When the position of the mother unit or the cup is changed, the distance between the mother unit and the pin must be measured and stored in the memory of the mother unit. This is called calibration. MW There are two methods of calibration: automatic input mode and manual input mode.
© Calibration & 3 ‘When four sound pulses — which indicate the signal is being sent — have been emitted and the distance from the mother unit to the pin is displayed, the calibration is complete. (The distance is automatically input into the mother unit.) When only one sound pulse is emitted Make sure that the power switch of the mother unit is ON and that the correct hole number is displayed.

Setting the Timer and Clock of the Mother Unit . The mother unit has an internal clock (timer) which can turn off the unit at night. Changing the Battery of the Child Uni {When the Battery is Dead) @ The battery life for both the mother unit and the child unit is approximately three years, although it varies depending on the conditions of use. @ When the batteries run down quickly even after charging for a long period of time, change the batteries. @Since the batteries inherently have a limited life, they are not covered under the warranted. @ Change all of the batteries together.
Changing the Battery of the Mother Unit ~~ @ Avoid changing the batteries in the rain. Using the unit while wet may result in damage to the unit. @ The battery can be used for one week. Change the battery on the same day every week. @ Change the batteries of all the mother units in the same manner. @Recharge the removed battery. 3 Removing the Battery @ Open the back cover using the included key. @ Pull the belt and remove the battery. CAUTION Be careful not to short the terminals or pull on the tube.

Maintenance ~~ ® Perform the following maintenance procedures to keep the units functioning properly. Maintenance of the Mother Unit ® Cleaning the Waterproofing Gasket When calibrating the unit, make sure there is no dust or dirt on the waterproofing gasket. If the packing is dirty, wipe it clean with a soft cloth. If the packing is left dirty, rain water may seep inside the mother unit. @® When Water Gets Inside the Unit When water has gotten inside the unit, wipe it off with a dry cloth.
© Maintenance Q EE Maintenance of the Child Unit @ Cleaning the Outside Clean the body using a towel dampened with fresh water. Clean cut the corners with a brush. If the child unit is especially dirty, apply a small amount of neutral detergent to the dampened towel mentioned above. After cleaning, wipe using a towel dampened with fresh water only.
