Connecting external devices
Connecting external devices
Under all circumstance s, please observe the safety notes provided in the
"
Important notes", Page 12 chapter before co nnecting o r disconnecting
any devices to or from your Tablet PC.
Always read the documentation s upplied with the device you wish to connect.
Never connect o r disconnect cables during a thunderstorm.
Never pull at a cable when disconnecting it. Always gra sp the plug.
With so me devices, such as USB devices, it is not necessary to switch off
the Tablet PC and the device before connecting/disconnecting. For more
information about whether or not devices need to b e switched off, please refer
to the documentation supplied with the extern al device.
Some of the external devices require special drivers (see the operating
system and external device documenta tion).
Connecting an external monitor
Micro HDMI port
HDMIport
The micro HDMI port of your device can be used to connect an external amplifier,
LCD TV or a plasma TV with an HDMI connection.
► Connect the data cable to the
external device.
► Connect the data cable to the micro
HDMI port.
Some LCD televisions have only tw o loudspeaker ports and therefore
cannot reproduce Dolby Digital or DTS. To play back HDMI sound, you
must change the HDMI sound se tting s accordingly.
You can find the settings under Control Panel - Hardware and Sound. D eac tiv a te the
settings for DT S Audio and Dolby Digital to enable playback of HDMI sound.
