Working with the notebook

Indicators
The meanings of the symbols are as follows:
Power-on indicator
· The indicator lights up: The notebook is on.
· The indicator flashes (1 second on / 1 second off):
The notebook is in Standby mode / Suspend to DRAM mode.
· The indicator is dark:
The notebook is switched off or in Suspend to Disk mode.
Battery indicator
· The indicator is green:
The battery is fully charged.
· The indicator flashes green: The learning cycle for the battery is being carried out.
· The indicator is orange:
The battery is charging.
· The indicator is red: The battery is possibly defective.
· The indicator flashes red: The battery is nearly empty.
A
Caps Lock indicator
The Ï key has been pressed. All the characters you type appear in uppercase. In the
case of overlay keys, the character printed on the upper left of the key appears when that
key is pressed.
