PARTS • If you experience a problem with this product, or are missing a part, please call us at 1-800-348-0751, rather than return this product to the store. • Please identify all parts before assembly and save all packaging material until assembly is complete to ensure that no parts are discarded. • Metal parts have been coated with a lubricant to protect them during shipment. Wipe all metal parts with a paper towel to remove any excess lubricant.

ASSEMBLY B Charger WARNING Children can be harmed by small parts, sharp edges and sharp points in the vehicle's unassembled state, or by electrical items. Care should be taken in unpacking and assembly of the vehicle. Children should not handle parts, including the battery, or help in assembly of the vehicle. Battery A Charger Connector Motor Rear Axle • Plug the charger connector into the battery A . • Plug the charger into a standard wall outlet B . Notes: - Use the charger only in a wall outlet.
Rear Axle Cap Rear Hubcap 5 3 • Fit the tabs on the rear hubcap into the slots in the rear wheel. Push to "snap" into place. • Repeat steps 2-5 to assemble the other rear wheel, rear axle cap and rear hubcap to the rear axle. • Fit a rear axle cap onto the end of the rear axle. Front Axle 4 6 • Insert a #8 x ¾" screw into the hole in the rear axle and tighten. Front Axle • Pull to rotate the front axles completely towards the front of the vehicle.
Front Axle Fastener Cap Front Axle 7 9 • Fit a front axle fastener cap onto the upper portion of a front axle. Bushing • Remove the cap on the end of the front axle. Dispose of the cap in the trash. • Slide a bushing, ring end first, onto a front axle. 8 • Align the hole in the axle fastener cap with the hole in the front axle. Hint: You may need to push the front axle towards the front of the vehicle while you insert the screw.
Rim 11 • Slide a rim, indented side out, onto the front axle. 13 • Test to be sure the wheel spins. Lift the front end of the vehicle up slightly and turn the wheel. It should spin freely. • If the wheel does not spin freely, use the assembly wrench to loosen the lock nut a 1/4" turn. Spin the wheel again and loosen more, if necessary. Lock Nut Assembly Wrench Front Hubcap 12 • Fit a lock nut onto the end of the front axle and tighten with the assembly wrench.
Tail Shock Post Slot 17 SIDE VIEW • First, fit the bottom of a shock into the slot next to the tail. • Then, slide the top of the shock onto the post on the tail. 15 FRONT VIEW • Fit the tail into the slots in the back end of the vehicle frame. DO NOT insert a screw here. Screw 18 • Insert a #8 x ¾" screw into the hole in the shock and tighten. Note: Do not insert a screw into the upper portion of the shock in this step. A screw will be assembled in this location in step 24.
Short Seat Belts Folded Tab Folded End 21 Rear Fenders • Fit the rear fenders under the tabs the sides of the seat, as shown. 19 Note: Make sure the fasteners on both short seat belts face each other. • Fit the folded end of each short seat belt down through the outer slots in the seat. Do not insert the folded tab into the slot. Pull up on each seat belt to make sure it is secure. 22 DO NOT insert screws here. • Insert two #8 x ¾" screws into the upper hole in each side of the seat and tighten.
Sidebar Cover Sidebar Cover 26 24 • Fit the sidebar covers onto the sidebars, as shown. Hint: The sidebar covers are designed to fit one way. If a sidebar cover does not seem to fit, try the other one! • Insert a #8 x ¾" screw into each sidebar cover and tighten. • Insert eight #8 x ¾" screws into the seat and tighten. Sidebar with Curve Out Sidebar with Curve Out Front Fenders Tabs 25 • Fit the sidebars into the slots in the vehicle frame and rear fenders.
Hood Pegs 30 • Fit the tabs on the hood onto the pegs on the front fenders. 28 TOP SIDE VIEW • Insert six #8 x ¾" screws into the fenders and tighten. 31 • Fit the folded end of the strap attached to the hood up into the slot in the front end of the vehicle. Bumper 29 FRONT VIEW • Fit the bumper onto the front end of the vehicle. • Insert four #8 x ¾" screws into the bumper and tighten.
Steering Post Steering Column 32 Steering Column • Insert the straight end of the steering column up through the bottom of the steering post, as shown. 34 • Push the steering column down (so that it inserts into the slot in the steering linkage underneath the vehicle).
Steering Column Lock Nut Assembly Wrench 38 • Fit a lock nut onto the end of the steering column and tighten with the assembly wrench. Screws Steering Wheel Cap 36 • Insert four #8 x ¾" screws into the holes in the bottom of the vehicle (to hold the steering column post and seat) and tighten. Steering Wheel 39 • Fit the steering wheel cap to the center of the steering wheel. Push to "snap" into place. 37 INSIDE VIEW • Turn the vehicle upright.
DECORATION • Before applying the labels, wipe the surface of the vehicle with a clean, dry cloth to remove any dust or oils. • Place the labels exactly as shown in the illustrations. For best results, avoid repositioning a label once it has been applied to the vehicle. • After applying a label, rub the label firmly with a clean, dry cloth to make sure the label is adhered to your vehicle. Start at the center of a label, and smooth towards the outer edges to remove air bubbles.

BATTERY INSTALLATION IMPORTANT! Use only a Power Wheels® 12 volt lead-acid rechargeable battery. Use of any other battery will damage your vehicle. Make sure that you charge the battery for at least 18 hours using the enclosed Power Wheels® 12 volt charger before operating your vehicle for the first time. Charge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use of the vehicle. Never charge the battery longer than 30 hours.
BATTERY CARE AND DISPOSAL Disposal Care If a battery leak develops, avoid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged battery in a plastic bag. See information below for proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or eyes, flush with cool water for at least 15 minutes and call a physician. If acid is internally ingested, give water, milk of magnesia or egg whites immediately. Never give emetics or induce vomiting. Call a physician.
SAFE DRIVING RULES Teach Safety Rules to Children RIDING HAZARD While children can quickly develop the skill necessary to drive this vehicle, it is important to remember that their judgment skills are still very immature. Unsupervised driving by children can lead to serious injury. Before children use this vehicle, an adult should carefully evaluate the driving area as well as the children’s skill level and ability to drive this vehicle safely.
VEHICLE OPERATION As assembled, your vehicle is ready to roll in low speed (21/2 mph, maximum). After your child has mastered the basic skills of driving and understands the rules for safe driving, it’s time to remove the high speed lock-out screw to allow the vehicle to operate in low or high speed. See the instructions in this section to remove the high speed lock-out screw. STOP IMPORTANT! Use this vehicle ONLY outdoors. Most interior flooring can be damaged by riding this vehicle indoors.
VEHICLE CARE LIMITED WARRANTY • Check all screws, lock nuts and their protective coverings regularly and tighten as required. Check plastic parts on a regular basis for cracks or broken pieces. • During snowy or rainy weather, the vehicle should be stored inside or under a protective cover. Remember to charge the battery at least once per month while your vehicle is not in regular use.

PROBLEM Short run time (Less than 1 - 3 hours per charge) POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION Undercharged battery Charge the battery. A new battery should have been charged for at least 18 hours before using the vehicle for the first time. After first-time use, recharge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use. Never charge the battery longer than 30 hours. Check all wires and connectors. Make sure the charger connector is plugged into the battery, and that the charger is plugged into the wall.
PROBLEM Vehicle runs in low speed, but does not run in high speed. POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION High speed lock-out not disconnected The vehicle was pre-set to run only in low speed. To allow the vehicle to run in low and high speed, you must remove the lock-out screw. Follow the instructions on page 23.
Before first-time use, you must charge the battery 18 hours! Charge the battery immediately after each use. Charge the battery once a month, even if the vehicle is not used or stored.
