BATTERY CHARGING B Power Indicator ASSEMBLY WARNING Children can be harmed by small parts, sharp edges and sharp points in the vehicle's unassembled state, or by electrical items. Care should be taken in unpacking and assembly of the vehicle. Children should not handle parts, including the battery, or help in assembly of the vehicle. ASSEMBLY Front Bumper 2 • Fit the front bumper to the vehicle. Bushing Washer 4 Front Axle • Slide a 7/16" washer onto a front axle. • Fit a bushing, flat side first, onto the front axle. 3 • Insert six #8 x 3/4" screws into the front bumper and tighten. 5 Front Wheel (Marked R) Wheel Cover Hint: There is a right and left front wheel. They are marked with an R and L. • Locate the right front wheel marked with an R. Place the front wheel R, onto the front axle.
E ASSEMBLY Assembly Tool 6 Lock Nut 8 FRONT VIEW • Insert six #8 x 3/4" screws into the front bumper and tighten. • Fit a 3/8"-16 lock nut, rounded side out, onto the front axle. IMPORTANT! Tighten the lock nut firmly with the closed end of the assembly tool. • Test to be sure the front wheel moves freely on the front axle. Turn the front wheel. If the front wheel does not move freely, loosen the lock nut ¼ turn and test again. Repeat this procedure as necessary.
ASSEMBLY Dash Assembly Dash Connectors 12 10 Motor Harness Connector • Insert four #8 x 3/4" screws into the front of the dash assembly and tighten. • Position the motor harness connector toward the front of the vehicle. • Place the dash assembly upside down on top of the front end of the vehicle. • Plug the dash connector from the vehicle into the dash connector on the dash assembly. Hint: If the connectors do not fit together, do not force them. Simply turn one of them around and try again.
ASSEMBLY 31 9 19 19 30 19 19 21 22 18 Battery Compartment Door 15 14 DASH VIEW • Before applying the labels, wipe the surface of the vehicle with a clean, dry cloth to remove any dust or oils. • Place the labels as shown in the illustration. For best results, avoid repositioning a label once it has been applied to the vehicle. 1.5V x 3 "AA" (LR6) Battery Safety Information In exceptional circumstances, batteries may leak fluids that can cause a chemical burn injury or ruin your product.
ASSEMBLY Short Seat Belts Hood Seat Long Seat Belt 18 16 FRONT VIEW • Fit the long tabs on the hood into the slots in the front end of the vehicle. • Pull the hood forward and lower. Note: The hood is held down by magnets. Simply lift to open the hood. Do not use around items that are sensitive to or affected by magnetic fields. • Insert the fastener end of a short seat belt strap through the slot near the outer edge of the seat.
ASSEMBLY Steering Column 20 BACK VIEW • Insert three, black #8 x 3/4" screws into the back of the seat and tighten. Note: You will need to remove these three screws if you change the seat position. 22 • Wipe the steering column with a paper towel to remove any excess lubricant. • Insert the straight end of the steering column down through the hole in the vehicle floor and out through the hole in the dash. Steering Linkage 21 BOTTOM VIEW Steering Column • Turn the vehicle over.
ASSEMBLY Fastener Cap Press Wheel 24 • Fit the fastener cap onto the end of the steering column. • Insert a #8 x 3/4" screw through the large opening in the fastener cap and into the hole in the steering column. Tighten the screw. • Turn the vehicle upright. Steering Wheel 26 Lift Steering Column • While pressing down on the steering wheel, grasp the steering column under the dash and pull it up as far as it will go. • Insert the 5/32" x 11/2" pin through the hole in the steering column.
DECORATION • Before applying the labels, wipe the surface of the vehicle with a clean, dry cloth to remove any dust or oils. • Place the labels exactly as shown in the illustrations. For best results, avoid repositioning a label once it has been applied to the vehicle. • After applying a label, rub the label firmly with a clean, dry cloth to make sure the label is adhered to your vehicle. Start at the center of a label, and smooth towards the outer edges to remove air bubbles.

BATTERY INSTALLATION IMPORTANT! Use only a Power Wheels® 12 volt lead-acid rechargeable battery. Use of any other battery will damage your vehicle. Make sure that you charge the battery for at least 18 hours using the enclosed Power Wheels® 12 volt charger before operating your vehicle for the first time. Charge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use of the vehicle. Never charge the battery longer than 30 hours.
BATTERY CARE AND DISPOSAL Care If a battery leak develops, avoid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged battery in a plastic bag. See information below for proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or eyes, flush with cool water for at least 15 minutes and call a physician. If acid is internally ingested, give water, milk of magnesia or egg whites immediately. Never give emetics or induce vomiting. Call a physician. • Charge a new battery for at least 18 hours before first use.
SAFE DRIVING RULES RIDING HAZARD WARNING • Prevent Injuries and Deaths • Direct Adult Supervision Required • Never Ride at Night. • Keep Children Within Safe Riding Areas. These areas must be: - away from swimming pools and other bodies of water to prevent drownings - generally level to prevent tipovers - away from steps, steep inclines, cars, roads and alleys. • Riding Rules Make sure children know and follow these rules for safe driving and riding. - Always sit on the seat. - Always wear shoes.
VEHICLE OPERATION As assembled, your vehicle is ready to roll in low speed (21/2 mph, maximum). After your child has mastered the basic skills of driving and understands the rules for safe driving, it’s time to remove the high speed lock-out screw to allow the vehicle to operate in low or high speed. See the instructions on this section to remove the high speed lock-out screw. STOP IMPORTANT! Use this vehicle ONLY outdoors. Most interior floor-ing can be damaged by riding this vehicle indoors.
COOL LIGHTS AND SOUND EFFECTS Press • Press the left button on the simulated radio for horn sounds and dashboard lights. • Press the right button on the simulated radio to hear cool tunes and see the "radio" light up. 22 VEHICLE CARE • Check all screws, cap nuts and their protective coverings regularly and tighten as required. Check plastic parts on a regular basis for cracks or broken pieces. • During snowy or rainy weather, the vehicle should be stored inside or under a protective cover.

POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION High speed lock-out not disconnected The vehicle was pre-set to run only in low speed. To allow the vehicle to run in low and high speed, you must disconnect the High Speed Lock-Out. Follow the instructions on page 21 to remove the High Speed Lock-Out screw.
