D BATTERY CHARGING E ASSEMBLY WARNING B Battery Children can be harmed by small parts, sharp edges and sharp points in the vehicle's unassembled state, or by electrical items. Care should be taken in unpacking and assembly of the vehicle. Children should not handle parts, including the battery, or help in assembly of the vehicle. ASSEMBLY E Seat Seat Shifter Floorboard 2 4 Left Side View • Insert two #8 x 1" black screws through one side of the seat and into the floorboard of the vehicle. Tighten the screws. Inside View • Insert a #8 x 3/ 4" chrome screw into the hole in the seat near the shifter. Tighten the screw. Seat Trunk Door Floorboard 3 • Insert two #8 x 1" black screws through the other side of the seat and into the floorboard of the vehicle. Tighten the screws.
ASSEMBLY E Battery Compartment Door Trunk Door Sounds and Lights Unit PUSH DOWN on each corner 6 7 Back View • Close the trunk door. Push down on each corner of the trunk to "snap" in place. • Locate the battery compartment on the back of the sounds and lights unit. • Loosen the screw in the battery compartment door. Remove the battery compartment door. • Insert three, new "AA" (LR6) alkaline batteries, as indicated inside the battery compartment.
ASSEMBLY E Sounds and Lights Unit Sounds and Lights Unit 8 • Slide the sounds and Wire lights unit into the dash, Connectors as shown. • Plug the sounds and lights unit connector into the vehicle connector. Hint: If the connectors do not fit together, do not force them. Simply turn one of them over and try again. H0436pr-0920 9 • Insert two #8 x 1" black screws into the sounds and lights unit. Tighten the screws. Assembly is now complete.
BATTERY INSTALLATION F IMPORTANT! Use only a Power Wheels® 12 volt lead-acid rechargeable battery. Use of any other battery will damage your vehicle. Make sure that you charge the battery for at least 18 hours using the enclosed Power Wheels® 12 volt charger before operating your vehicle for the first time. Charge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use of the vehicle. Never charge the battery longer than 30 hours.
BATTERY CARE AND DISPOSAL Care If a battery leak develops, avoid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged battery in a plastic bag. See information below for proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or eyes, flush with cool water for at least 15 minutes and call a physician. If acid is internally ingested, give water, milk of magnesia or egg whites immediately. Never give emetics or induce vomiting. Call a physician. • Charge a new battery for at least 18 hours before first use.
SAFE DRIVING RULES H RIDING HAZARD WARNING • Prevent Injuries and Deaths • Direct Adult Supervision Required • Keep Children Within Safe Riding Areas. These areas must be: - away from swimming pools and other bodies of water to prevent drownings - generally level to prevent tipovers - away from steps, cars, steep inclines, roads and alleys.
VEHICLE OPERATION I IMPORTANT! Use this vehicle ONLY outdoors. Most interior flooring can be damaged by riding this vehicle indoors. Fisher-Price® will not be responsible for damage to the floor if the vehicle is used indoors. Beginner Use - Low Speed Drive As assembled, your vehicle is ready to roll in low speed (21/2 mph, maximum). It has been pre-set so it will only operate in low speed.
VEHICLE OPERATION I Key Sounds Button Lights Button Sounds and Lights Unit Toy Car Button 12 Volt Battery Charge Indicator • • • • • • Set the toy car up on a flat surface in front or behind the vehicle. Press the foot pedal and drive forward or in reverse over the toy car. Press the sounds button on the sounds and lights unit for monster truck sounds or music. Press the key on the sounds and lights unit for motor sounds.
VEHICLE CARE J • Check all screws, cap nuts and their protective coverings regularly and tighten as required. Check plastic parts on a regular basis for cracks or broken pieces. • During snowy or rainy weather, the vehicle should be stored inside or under a protective cover. Remember to charge the battery at least once per month while your vehicle is not in regular use. • Avoid operating the vehicle in wet or snowy conditions, and do not spray the vehicle with a hose.

Make sure the motor harness connector is tightly plugged into the battery, and that there are no loose wires around the motors.
