BEFORE YOU BEGIN Keep this instruction sheet for future reference, as it contains important information. Discontinue the use of the gate if it becomes damaged, broken, or disassembled. Adult assembly and setup is required to mount the gate and remote, and install batteries.

CHECK THE LOCATION FOR THE GATE Measure the width of the opening where the gate will be installed. The width of the opening should be no less than 30" (76,2 cm) and no greater than 42" (106,7 cm). The thickness of the wall/doorway/newel post should be no less than 4⅜˝ (111,125 mm) and no greater than 6⅜˝ (161,925 mm). If using clamps, also measure the thickness of the wall, doorway or newel post. 4⅜˝–6⅜˝ If installing near a stairway, you can use clamps on the newel post and fasteners on the wall.
CHECK THE LOCATION FOR THE GATE If attaching at the top of stairs, measure the distance from the first step to the gate. The distance from the first step to the gate should be at least two inches (5,1 cm) or more. 2 in If using fasteners to mount, check to see if there is a stud in the wall. When fastening to a stud or if fastening to wood, you should not pre-drill holes or use the wall anchors.

SIZE THE GATE This gate fits in openings from 30" (76,2 cm) to 42" (106,7 cm). Use each gate extender alone or in combination.
ASSEMBLE THE GATE If necessary, add extenders to fit the opening where the gate will be installed. Refer to page 8 for sizing. 1 Fit the post on the end of the mounting bracket into the slot in the side of the gate.

ASSEMBLE THE GATE x1 M3.5 x 15 mm Screw 7 If you are using clamps to install the gate, proceed to page 13. If you are using fasteners to install the gate, proceed to page 17. If you are installing near a stairway with a newel post, proceed to page 24.
GATE CLAMP INSTALLATION Fit the clamps to the gate brackets. Note: Make sure to fit the longer clamps onto the bottom end of the gate brackets. 1 x8 M3.

GATE CLAMP INSTALLATION Using a level, check that both gate brackets are level. 5 Using the clamp tool, tighten all four clamps so the gate brackets are secure to both sides of the doorway or newel posts.

GATE FASTENER INSTALLATION x8 M3.5 x 15 mm Screw 1 Determine where you want to install the gate. Using a tape measure, measure the distance to the end of the wall.
GATE FASTENER INSTALLATION Place the gate bracket against the wall with the bottom end on the floor. Using a level, check to be sure the gate bracket is level. 3 Using a pencil, make three marks through the screw holes.
GATE FASTENER INSTALLATION Note: If you are attaching to a stud or into wood, you do not need to follow this step. Proceed to step 7. Using a 3/16" (4,76 mm) drill bit, drill one hole through each pencil mark you made on the wall. 5 Fit a wall anchor into each of the drilled holes. Tap each wall anchor lightly with a hammer until the ends of each wall anchor are even with the surface of the wall.
GATE FASTENER INSTALLATION Insert a screw into each screw hole and tighten with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten. x3 M4 x 30 mm Screw 7 Using a tape measure, make sure the distance to the end of the wall matches the measurement from the first gate bracket.

GATE STAIRWAY INSTALLATION If attaching at the top of stairs, measure the distance from the first step to the gate. The distance from the first step to the gate should be at least two inches (5,1 cm) or more. 2 in 1 Using a level, check that the gate bracket is level.

Using a pencil, make three marks through the screw holes. 3 Note: If you are attaching to a stud in a wall or into wood, you do not need to follow this step. Proceed to step 6. Using a 3/16" (4,76 mm) drill bit, drill one hole through each pencil mark you made on the wall.
GATE STAIRWAY INSTALLATION Fit a wall anchor into each of the drilled holes. Tap each wall anchor lightly with a hammer until the ends of each wall anchor are even with the surface of the wall.
GATE STAIRWAY INSTALLATION Fit the clamps to the newel post. 7 Using the clamp tool, tighten both clamps so that the gate bracket is secure to the newel post.

REMOTE FASTENER INSTALLATION The remote should be installed in a place most convenient to access from either side of the gate (e.g., door jamb). Place the remote mount to the door jamb. Using a pencil, make two marks through the screw holes. 1 Note: If you are attaching to a stud or into wood, you do not need to follow this step. Proceed to step 4. Using a 3/16" (4,76 mm) drill bit, drill one hole through each pencil mark you made on door jamb.
REMOTE FASTENER INSTALLATION Fit a wall anchor into each of the drilled holes. Tap each wall anchor lightly with a hammer until the ends of each wall anchor are even with the surface of the door jamb. x2 3 Insert a screw into each screw hole and tighten with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.
REMOTE FASTENER INSTALLATION Slide the remote down onto the mount.
REMOTE ADHESIVE INSTALLATION Before applying adhesive strip, make sure the wall surface is clean and dry. If cleaning is necessary, gently wipe with isopropyl rubbing alcohol. Do not use household cleaners. Remove the liner from one side of the adhesive strip and apply sticky side to back of remote mount as shown. Make sure the strip tab is accessible for future removal. 1 The remote should be installed in a place most convenient to access from either side of the gate (e.g., door jamb).
REMOTE ADHESIVE INSTALLATION Slide the remote down onto the mount. 3 To remove the remote mount from the wall entirely: 1. NEVER pull mount towards you. 2. Hold mount gently to prevent it from snapping fingers. DO NOT press against wall. 3. Grab tab on adhesive strip and SLOWLY STRETCH STRAIGHT DOWN ALONG WALL AT LEAST 12 INCHES 30,5 cm until mount and strip release.
INSTALL BATTERIES Loosen the screws in the battery compartment doors. Insert two AA (LR6) alkaline batteries into the remote and three AA (LR6) alkaline batteries into the gate. Replace the battery compartment doors and tighten the screws. Use alkaline batteries for longer battery life. If the gate or remote do not seem to work or work erratically: • Check to be sure the gate has power by activating the manual latch. • Remove and reinstall the batteries.
OPEN THE GATE WITH REMOTE 1 First, press the button in and the remote will illuminate red. 2 While holding the button in, slide the button down to the bottom. The remote and gate will illuminate green. The gate is now unlocked. 1 1 Once the gate is opened, both lights will illuminate red. Once the gate is closed again, both lights will turn off.
OPEN THE GATE MANUALLY v 1 First, press the button in with your thumb. 2 While holding the button in, slide the latch with your finger. The gate is now unlocked. 2 1 1 Once the gate is opened, the gate will illuminate red. Once the gate is closed again, the light will turn off.
GATE CLOSURE ALERT SYSTEM If the gate remains open for more than 10 seconds, a closure alert will play 3 times, and the light(s) will illuminate red. If the gate remains open for an additional 50 seconds, the closure alert will play 10 times. After 60 seconds, the light(s) and the closure alert will turn off. Close the gate to reset the light and closure alert system. TO TEMPORARILY DISABLE THE ALERT: Once the gate is opened, activate the manual latch or the remote button.
TEMPORARY GATE REMOVAL Press the gate release button on one side, then slide the gate up and out of the bracket. 1 While holding the gate, press the gate release button on the other side. Slide the gate up to completely remove it.

Battery Safety Information In exceptional circumstances, batteries may leak fluids that can cause a chemical burn injury or ruin your product. To avoid battery leakage: Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable. Insert batteries as indicated inside the battery compartment (+ and -). Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted batteries from the product. Dispose of batteries safely.

INSTALACIÓN DE LAS PILAS Usa pilas alcalinas para lograr una mayor duración. Afloja los tornillos de las tapas de los compartimentos de pilas. Inserta dos pilas alcalinas AA (LR6) en el control remoto y tres pilas alcalinas AA (LR6) en la barrera. Cierra las tapas de los compartimentos de pilas y aprieta los tornillos. Si la puerta o el control remoto parecen no funcionar o no funcionan correctamente: • Asegúrate de que la puerta tenga energía activando el pestillo manual.
INSTALACIÓN DEL ADHESIVO REMOTO Desliza el control remoto hacia abajo sobre el montaje. 3 Para retirar el control remoto de la pared por completo: 1. NUNCA tires el montaje hacia ti. 2. Sujeta el montaje con cuidado para evitar que se enrede entre tus dedos. NO presiones contra la pared. 3. Toma la lengüeta de la tira adhesiva y ESTIRA LENTAMENTE HACIA ABAJO POR LA PARED AL MENOS 30 CM hasta el montaje y la tira se suelten.
INSTALACIÓN DEL ADHESIVO REMOTO Antes de poner la tira adhesiva, asegúrate de que la superficie de la pared esté limpia y seca. Si es necesario limpiar, hazlo suavemente con alcohol isopropílico. No uses limpiadores caseros. Quita la lámina de un lado de la tira adhesiva y coloca el lado pegajoso en la parte trasera del soporte remoto, tal como se muestra en la imagen. Asegúrate de que la lengüeta de la tira esté accesible para quitarla en el futuro.

INSTALACIÓN DE LA ABRAZADERA DE LA REJILLA Con un nivel, verifica que ambos soportes de la barrera estén nivelados. 5 Con la herramienta para la abrazadera, aprieta las cuatro abrazaderas, de modo que los soportes de la barrera queden fijos en ambos costados de la puerta o en los postes de la barandilla de la escalera.
INSTALACIÓN DE LA ABRAZADERA DE LA REJILLA Coloque las abrazaderas en la puerta (o en la pared o en el poste de la barandilla de la escalera). Importante: Si la instalación se realiza en una abertura que cuenta con una puerta, asegúrese de que el botón esté orientado hacia afuera de la puerta. Botón Puerta 3 Coloque las abrazaderas en la puerta (o en la pared o en el poste de la barandilla de la escalera).
INSTALACIÓN DE LA ABRAZADERA DE LA REJILLA Coloca las abrazaderas en los soportes de la rejilla. Advertencia: Asegúrate de colocar las abrazaderas más largas en el extremo inferior de los soportes de la rejilla. 1 x8 Tornillo M3.
ARMA LA REJILLA x1 Tornillo M3.5 x 15 mm 7 Si utilizas abrazaderas para instalar la rejilla, avanza a la página 13. Si utilizas sujetadores para instalar la rejilla, avanza a la página 17. Si la instalación se realiza cerca de una escalera con un poste de la barandilla de la escalera, avanza a la página 24.
ARMA LA REJILLA Coloca el poste en el extremo del soporte de montaje en la ranura del costado de la rejilla. 5 Gira el soporte de montaje hacia abajo para ajustarlo al costado de la rejilla.

ARMA LA REJILLA Si es necesario, agrega extensores para ajustar la abertura en la que se instalará la rejilla. Consulta la página 8 para obtener información sobre los tamaños. 1 Coloca el poste en el extremo del soporte de montaje en la ranura del costado de la rejilla.
AJUSTA LA REJILLA Esta rejilla encaja en aberturas de 76,2 a 106,7 cm. Usa cada extensor de rejilla por separado o combinados.

REVISA LA UBICACIÓN DE LA REJILLA Si se conecta en la parte superior de las escaleras, mide la distancia desde el primer peldaño hasta la barrera. El grosor de la pared, puerta o poste de la barandilla de la escalera no debe ser inferior a 111,125 mm ni superior a 161,925 mm.
