Special Anchor Points Special anchor points are a pair of inverted “U” shaped metal bars attached directly to your vehicle’s frame. These special anchor points are located where the vehicle seat bottom and seat back meet. Please refer to your vehicle owner’s manual to determine if your vehicle is equipped with special anchor points.

WARNING NEVER install the car seat in the rear-facing position in a vehicle seating location equipped with an airbag. The airbag impact can cause severe head injury or death.

Installing Your Car Seat in a Vehicle Using the Easy & Secure LATCH System 2 2 Unhook the Easy & Secure LATCH System from the back of the car seat. 3 3 Loosen the Easy & Secure LATCH System straps. Press the release button on the Easy & Secure LATCH System buckle and pull the strap attached to the car seat tube. Repeat this procedure to loosen the other strap.

Fasten the Easy & Secure LATCH System hook to the vehicle special anchor point. Repeat this procedure to fasten the Easy & Secure LATCH System strap on the other side of the car seat to the corresponding vehicle special anchor point.

The car seat should be snug against the vehicle seat.
