Wipe all metal parts with a paper towel to remove any excess lubricant.

E Battery Charging WARNING CAUTION • The battery must be handled by adults only. The battery is heavy and contains sulfuric acid (electrolyte). Dropping the battery could result in serious injury. • Never allow children to charge the battery. Battery charging must be done by adults only. A child could be injured by the electricity involved in charging the battery. • Use of the wrong type battery, fuse or charger could cause a fire or explosion, resulting in serious injury.
Battery Charging 1 3 25 Amp Fuse ANT IMPORT E MUST FUSD IN TOP AMP RE A 25INSTALLE BEFO GE HAR BE BATTERY OF WILL REC E TOY OPERAT OR ® ® GOOD FUSE "BLOWN" FUSE • If you are charging the battery for the first time, insert a 25 amp fuse into the battery. Note: The top of the fuse will not be flush with the top of the battery when properly installed. • If you are recharging your battery, make sure the 25 amp fuse already installed in the battery is in good condition.
F Assembly Do not omit any steps. Please set aside at least 30 minutes for assembly. Handgrip 1 3 Swivel Bracket Left Handlebar Handgrip Streamer L • Using the tip of a slotted screwdriver, press the metal retainer on a handgrip streamer into the hole in a handgrip, as shown. • Repeat this procedure to attach the other handgrip streamer to the other handgrip. Vehicle Body • Stand the vehicle body on its rear wheels.
Assembly 5 7 4 6 Dashboard #8 x 11/2" Screw – 2 Shown Actual Size Dashboard Swivel Bracket • Apply labels to the dashboard as shown. • Make sure the areas where the labels will be applied are clean and dry. • For best adhesion, avoid repositioning a label once it has been applied to the vehicle. 6 Radio Knobs • Position the vehicle body upright. • Fit the dashboard onto the top of the swivel bracket. • Align the screw holes in the dashboard and swivel bracket.
Assembly ✁ ✁ ✁ ✁ ✁ ✁ ✁ 11 ✁ 9 Handlebars Runner Fender Fairing Outer Shock Halves • Fit the fender onto the ends of the handlebars. (Make sure the end of the fender marked FRONT is facing toward the front of the vehicle.) • Slide the fender up the handlebars to the fairing. 10 Front Axle Peg Cap Nut Inner Shock Halves • Fit one end of the front axle into a cap nut. • Tap the front axle with a hammer to secure the cap nut on the front axle.
Assembly Hubcap 15 12 Front Wheel Inner Shock Half Outer Shock Half Fender • Fit and hold the hubcaps to each side of the front wheel. • Make sure the posts on the inside of the hubcaps fit into the indentations on the front wheel, so that the hubcaps lay flat against the wheel. • Fit and hold an inner shock half to the inside of a handlebar. • Fit and hold an outer shock half to the outside of the same handlebar. • Make sure the top ends of the shock halves fit under the fender.
Assembly 18 Cap Nut 20 Front Axle Handlebar Headlight Lens L “L” • Slide the front axle through the handlebar. Note: If the front axle will not slide through the handlebar, the handlebar may be out of alignment. To re-align, squeeze together the fairing and the handgrip at the top of that handlebar. • Fit a cap nut on the end of the front axle. • Support the front axle and tap the cap nut with a hammer to secure it on the end of the front axle.
Assembly This vehicle features a removable handle so parents can “guide” young drivers. Follow assembly steps 23 and 24 to assemble the handle to your vehicle. Important! To prevent damage to the motors and gears, do not use the handle to push the vehicle if your child is not pressing the foot pedal. 24 Screw 23 Handle Storage Compartment #12 x 1 1/4" Screw Shown Actual Size • Insert a #12 x 11/4" screw through the back of the vehicle and into the handle.
G Label Decoration Proper label application will help to keep the labels looking their best! • Wash your hands before applying the labels. • Make sure the areas where the labels will be applied are clean and dry. Wipe your vehicle with a clean, soft, dry cloth to remove any dust or oils. • For best results, avoid applying a label more than once. • Apply the labels as shown in the illustrations.
H Battery Installation Important Note: Use only a Power Wheels® Type H 6 volt battery with a Power Wheels® 25 amp fuse installed. Use of any other battery or fuse will damage your vehicle. Be sure to insert the battery correctly and always follow Power Wheels’ instructions for use and care. Make sure that you charge the battery for at least 18 hours before operating your vehicle for the first time. After first time use, charge the battery for at least 18 hours after each use.
I Battery Installation 5 Lock Fastener Battery Care and Disposal Care Lock Fastener Opening • Insert the tabs on the seat into the slots in the vehicle body and lower to close. Note: Make sure the tabs on the lock fastener are aligned with the notches in the lock fastener opening. 6 • Rotate the lock fastener 1/4 turn using a slotted screwdriver to lock the battery compartment.
J Rules for Safe Driving • While driving across a steep slope, the vehicle may tilt and tip over. The wheels could lose traction, causing the vehicle to slip. • While driving up a steep incline, the motor may stop and the vehicle could roll backwards at an unsafe speed. WARNING • Adult supervision is required. Children do not have the judgement necessary to avoid many accidents. Be sure that children operating this vehicle can do so safely and that they are supervised at all times.
K L How to Operate Your Vehicle This vehicle features a removable handle so parents can “guide” young drivers. The handle is easy to remove when your child is ready. To remove the handle, use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen and remove the handle retainer screw (#12 x 11/4") from the back of the vehicle and lift the handle. For storage, insert the screw into the hole in the back side of the handle.

Problems and Solutions Guide Problem Vehicle was running but suddenly stopped Short run time (Less than 1 - 3 hours per charge) Possible Cause Solution Loose wire or loose connectors Check all wires and connectors. Make sure the battery connector is tightly plugged into the motor harness connector, and that there are no loose wires around the motors. Wrong type or improperly installed fuse Make sure that the battery has properly installed Power Wheels® 25 amp fuse installed before charging.
Problems and Solutions Guide Problem Vehicle runs sluggishly Possible Cause Undercharged battery Solution Charge the battery. A new battery should have been charged for at least 18 hours before using the vehicle for the first time. After first-time use, recharge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use. Never charge the battery longer than 30 hours. Check all connectors. Make sure the battery connector is tightly plugged into the charger connector, and that the charger is plugged into the wall.
Problems and Solutions Guide Problem Vehicle constantly blows fuses Possible Cause Solution Wrong type of fuse used Your vehicle requires a Power Wheels® 25 amp fuse in the battery. Make sure the Power Wheels® 25 amp fuse is properly installed. For best performance, do not use substitute parts. Child is switching between FORWARD and REVERSE without stopping. Teach your child to stop the vehicle before switching between FORWARD and REVERSE.
O Statement of Limited Warranty 90-day limited warranty for the Power Wheels® Ride-On Toy Vehicle A 6-month battery warranty applying only to the 6 volt battery which was included by Power Wheels®, with the Power Wheels® vehicle when originally purchased.
