Rear Wheel Driver Rib Up Rear Wheel 1 Hex Bushing Hex Bushing Ring Side Rear Axle • Slide a hex bushing, ring side first, onto the rear axle. • Slide a rear wheel, rib side up, onto the rear axle.
Assembly Rear Wheel 4 Rear Wheel Driver Hex Bushing Barrel Side 6 Rib Hex Bushing Rear Wheel Spacer Rear Axle Holes .437 Cap Nut Back View • Slide the rear wheel spacer onto the rear axle. • Slide the other rear wheel driver, barrel side first, onto the rear axle. • Slide the other rear wheel, rib side first, onto the rear axle. Fit the grooves on the rear wheel driver to the ribs on the rear wheel. • Slide a hex bushing, barrel side first, onto the rear axle. • Fit a .
Assembly 8 10 Seat Blanket Pony Body Holes • Align the holes in the seat with the holes in the vehicle body. • Insert two #8 x 1" screws through the holes in the seat and into the vehicle body. • Tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten. • Insert two #8 x 3/ 4" screws through the holes on each side of the blanket. • Tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.
Assembly 12 14 Vehicle Body Pony Body Hole Hole Blanket Flaps • Position both the vehicle body and pony body upright. • Slide the back end of the pony body up through the front end of the vehicle body. 15 Bottom View • Insert two #8 x 3/ 4" screws through the blanket flap, the hole in the blanket strap and into the pony body. • Tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten.
Assembly 16 17 Cap Nut Body Axle Bolt Washer Vehicle Body Holes • Fit a .437 cap nut onto the other end of the body axle. • Tap the cap nut with a hammer to secure it on the body axle. • Pull on the .437 cap nut to make sure the body axle is secure. Hint: You may want the help of another adult to support the vehicle and pony bodies while you tap the cap nut with a hammer. Bottom View • Position the assembly on its side. • Slide a washer on the 5/ 16" x 5" bolt.
Assembly 18 20 Floorboard Opening Opening Bolt Bottom View Washer Lock Nut • Position the floorboard so that the smooth side is facing up. • Fit the ends of the floorboard up through the opening in the vehicle body floor, as shown. Bottom View 21 • Fit the other washer and then the lock nut on the end of the bolt. Floorboard 19 Floorboard Top View Bottom View • Using pliers, hold one end of the bolt steady and tighten the lock nut on the end of the bolt. Do not over-tighten.
Assembly 22 24 Floorboard Flap Pony Head Pieces Bottom View • Fold the floorboard flap up. • Insert five #8 x 3/ 4" screws through the holes in the right side of the pony head and into the left side of the pony head. • Tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten. 23 25 28 14 26 Bottom View 13 • Fold the tab on the floorboard down. • Align the hole in the floorboard tab with the hole in the vehicle body.
Assembly 26 27 Mane Plastic Strips Battery Compartment Door Slot Battery Compartment Rounded End Sound Box Pony Head 1.5V x 3 “AA” (LR6) SHOWN ACTUAL SIZE Note: Do not remove the plastic strips on the mane until vehicle assembly is complete. • Slide the rounded end of the mane into the slot on the top of the pony head. Hint: You may need to pinch the sides of the mane together as you slide the mane into the slot on the pony head. Hint: For longest life, use only alkaline batteries.
Assembly 30 28 Front Wheel Sound Box Wheel Bushing Pony Head • With the speaker side down, fit the sound box into the opening in the pony head. Wheel Bushing • Using safety scissors, separate the wheel bushings and the spacer from the plastic connectors. Dispose of the plastic connectors properly. • Fit two wheel bushings into the center opening in the front wheel, as shown.
Assembly 32 Ring Side 34 Round Bushing Front Axle Front Wheel .437 Cap Nut Front Feet Round Bushing Front Axle • Separate the front axle from the remaining axle. The front axle is larger than the remaining axle. • Position a .437 cap nut on a flat surface and fit one end of the front axle into it. • Tap the other end of the front axle with a hammer to secure the cap nut on the end of the front axle. Hint: You may want to position the cap nut on a scrap block of wood to protect the assembly surface.
Assembly 36 38 Head Assembly Vehicle Body Handle Axle .437 Cap Nut • Position a .437 cap nut on a flat surface and fit one end of the handle axle into it. • Tap the other end of the handle axle with a hammer to secure the cap nut on the end of the handle axle. Hint: You may want to position the cap nut on a scrap block of wood to protect the assembly surface. • Fit the head assembly onto the front end of the vehicle body.
Assembly 40 Handle • Pull on the .437 cap nut to make sure the handle is secure. Hint: You may want the help of another adult to support the handle axle while you tap the cap nut with a hammer. Hole 42 Mane Plastic Strips Handle Axle • While continuing to hold the handle flat, slide the handle axle through the hole in handle, the holes in the square post and out through the hole on the other side of the handle. 41 • Remove the plastic strips from the mane. • Dispose of the plastic strips properly.
G Label Decoration Proper label application will help to keep the labels looking their best! When applying labels, keep the following guidelines in mind: • Wash your hands before applying the labels. • Before applying the labels, wipe the surface of the vehicle with a clean, dry cloth to remove any dust or oils. • Place the labels exactly as shown in the illustrations. • For best results, avoid repositioning a label once it has been applied to the vehicle.

H Battery Installation Important Note: Use only a Power Wheels® Type H 6 volt battery with a Power Wheels® 25 Amp fuse installed. Use of any other battery or fuse will damage your vehicle. Make sure that you charge the battery for at least 18 hours using the enclosed Power Wheels® 6 Volt charger before operating your vehicle for the first time. Charge the battery for at least 14 hours after each use of the vehicle. Never charge the battery longer than 30 hours.
I Battery Care and Disposal Battery Care and Disposal Care Disposal If a battery leak develops, avoid contact with the leaking acid and place the damaged battery in a plastic bag. See information below for proper disposal. If acid comes in contact with skin or eyes, flush with cool water for at least 15 minutes and call a physician. If acid is internally ingested, give water, milk of magnesia or egg whites immediately. Never give emetics or induce vomiting. Call a physician.
K Rules for Safe Driving RIDING HAZARD 7. Do not allow your child to drive on sloped or inclined surfaces. Restrict your child’s driving to generally level ground ONLY! 8. Do not allow your child to drive down or across a steep slope. - The vehicle may gain unsafe speed, even if the pedal is released to stop. - The vehicle may tilt and tip over. - The wheels could lose traction, causing the vehicle to slip. 9. Do not allow your child to drive up steep inclines.
L How to Operate Your Vehicle As assembled, your vehicle is ready to go in low speed (3 mph, maximum). When your child is ready to drive in gallop mode, follow the instructions to change your vehicle to front wheel galloping mode. To Stop Beginner Use - Low Speed Drive FORWARD Button • Press the FORWARD button below the seat. • Press the foot pedal. The vehicle will drive forward at a maximum of 3 mph.
How to Operate Your Vehicle Push Here FORWARD Button Front Wheel • Press the FORWARD button below the seat. • Press the foot pedal. The vehicle will drive forward in gallop mode at a maximum of 3 mph. Off-Centered Position • Push the front wheel down to slide the front axle and the front wheel to the off-center position. *One year limited warranty from the date of purchase on the Power Wheels® vehicle.
