Transmitter is electrically powered. Includes one AC adaptor to power receiver (plugs into standard household outlets –120V AC). Receiver also runs on battery power (3.6V, 400mAH nickel cadmium rechargeable battery – included). Adult assembly is required to install the battery.

Keep transmitter and receiver out of baby’s reach. - Never use extension cords with the AC adaptor or the transmitter power cord.
Receiver Battery Installation Your Fisher-Price® Vibrating Monitor includes a rechargeable battery. Before first-time use, you will need to charge the battery (see next page). Battery Compartment Door Receiver Connector Battery Connector • Locate battery compartment door on back of receiver. • Loosen screw in battery compartment door with a Phillips screwdriver. Remove battery compartment door. • Plug battery connector into receiver connector.
Charging the Receiver Battery Even with proper care, the rechargeable battery will not last forever. The life of the rechargeable battery depends on how well you follow these instructions and the total number of hours it is used. If you should need to replace the rechargeable battery, a new one can be purchased at most electronics stores or contact Fisher-Price® Consumer Relations at 1-800-432-KIDS. • Insert AC adaptor jack into receiver socket and then plug into wall outlet.
Testing Reception (for Sound) Test transmitter transmission and receiver reception each time you change location of use. Power Indicator Power Switch Power/Volume Dial Power Indicator Place receiver in room in which you intend to use it. Rotate the power/volume dial to turn power on. Power indicator lights. Adjust receiver location. Place transmitter in room in which you intend to use it. Rotate transmitter power switch to turn power on. Power indicator lights. Turn on a radio.

Problems & Solutions “Uh-oh, maybe I should move closer to the house.” SOLUTION PROBLEM The receiver vibrates, all five dots light and if you have the sound turned up – you hear static or buzzing. Receiver is out of range of transmitter. Move receiver closer to transmitter. Note: Range varies depending on surrounding conditions such as noise levels, physical obstructions and signal interference.

“Wah, Wah, Wah…” “Wah, Wah, Wah…” “That must be Susie next door…” “I better get off the phone, she’s up…” “Wah, Wah, Wah…” “Did you read about…” SOLUTION There is signal interference due to other nursery monitors on same channel or cordless telephone use. Change channel switches on both transmitter and receiver to eliminate source of interference. Hints: - Do not use more than one transmitter and one receiver at same time in same household.
