If the mains lead or the plug are damaged in any way, they must be replaced with original replacement parts by a competent technician. Lead based paints should only be removed by a professional and you should not attempt to remove it yourself. Once the dust has been deposited on surfaces, hand to mouth contact can result in the ingestion of lead.
www.evolutionpowertools.com rotating above the table may result in the workpiece, and your hand, being pulled into the saw blade. c) Never use the mitre gauge to feed the workpiece when ripping and do not use the rip fence as a length stop when cross cutting with the mitre gauge. Guiding the workpiece with the rip fence and the mitre gauge at the same time increases the likelihood of saw blade binding and kickback.

A featherboard helps to control the workpiece in the event of a kickback. f) Use extra caution when making a cut into blind areas of assembled workpieces. The protruding saw blade may cut objects that can cause kickback. g) Support large panels to minimise the risk of saw blade pinching and kickback.

www.evolutionpowertools.com ASSEMBLY To assemble this saw you will need: Cross head screwdriver, 8mm & 10mm spanner or socket wrench, 13mm Socket wrench, 5mm allen key and a rubber mallet. Note: This process can be considerably aided by studying the images of the assembled machine and the components found on the machine overview & what’s in the box pages. Unpack all components including fixings and familiarise yourself with them before attempting to assemble the machine.

DEPLOYING THE LEGS The legs are stored underneath the machines main body. • Release the retaining latch (Fig 13). • Deploy the legs. • Ensure that the legs are secured into their service position. • The latch must deploy and lock the legs securely in their service position. www.evolutionpowertools.com THE BLADE GUARD The Blade Guard labelled 9 must be attached to the machines riving knife. Note: The machine should never be used without this guard in its service position. WARNING: The machine must be disconnected from the mains supply when installing the blade guard. To attach the Blade Guard • Raise the blade to its full height to fully reveal the machines Riving Knife.
www.evolutionpowertools.com CHECKING/ADJUSTING THE RIP FENCE When the Rip Fence has been attached to the machine, the Rip Fence should be checked to ensure that it lies parallel to the blade. Fig. 21 • Raise the blade to its full height. • Rest a straight-edge or similar against the blade. • Bring the Rip Fence up to the straight-edge and check for parallelism. • If adjustment is needed, gain access to the two hex headed screws located on the Rip Fence (Fig. 21).
www.evolutionpowertools.com OPERATIONS THE CONTROLS ON/OFF SAFETY SWITCH WARNING: Before operating the ON/OFF switch make sure that the blade guard is correctly installed and operating properly. • Push the ‘ON’ button to start the machine. (Fig. 26) • Push the ‘OFF’ button to stop the machine. • This machine is fitted with a motor overload safety feature. If the motor is overloaded, the overload switch will be triggered causing the motor to stop.
www.evolutionpowertools.com THE RIP FENCE This machine is fitted with a two piece Rip Fence. We recommend that the Rip Fence is normally used in conjunction with its adjustable Face Plate. The Rip Fence should normally be positioned to the RH side of the blade. It is locked in position by using the locking lever. Push down to lock, and pull up to unlock. www.evolutionpowertools.com Note: The face plate of the mitre gauge should be adjusted so that it passes close to, but does not touch the blade guard as it slides past during a cut. Adjust by loosening the finger nuts and sliding the faceplate to the required position. Securely tighten the finger nuts (Fig. 33). Note: The Mitre Gauge can be set at any angle between 60˚ Left and 60˚ Right. MULTIFUNCTION TABLE TOP Fig. 33 This Table Saw is equipped with a versatile and adaptable table top.
www.evolutionpowertools.com SLIDING CARRIAGE This machine is fitted with a Sliding Carriage (Fig. 36) to the LH side of the blade. This facility can be particularly useful when cross-cutting small section material such as metal boxsection or extrusions etc. Such material can be clamped to the Sliding Carriage by using the secured Mitre Gauge and its Hold Down Clamp. Operator control and safety are thereby enhanced.
www.evolutionpowertools.com CROSSCUTTING Set the Mitre Gauge to 0˚ and tighten the vertical locking screw. If employing the Sliding Carriage position the Mitre Gauge in the LH ‘T’ slot and lock it in place by screwing the locking screw into the locating hole. Note: The Mitre Gauge can be used on the RH side of the blade if required. If so it will run ‘freely’ in the inverted ‘T’ slot found on the RH side of the table. Fig.
www.evolutionpowertools.com REPETITIVE CROSS CUTTING Repetitive Cross Cutting is the process of cutting a number of pieces to the same length without having to mark out each piece separately. Note: We recommend that repetitive cross-cutting is carried out with the Mitre Gauge positioned on the LH side of the machine, with the Rip Fence on the RH side of the machine (Fig. 44). Fig. 44 WARNING: The Rip Fence can be used as a length stop only as long as it is properly set and adjusted.
www.evolutionpowertools.com When ripping long boards or large panels always use a remote work support or enlist trained competent help. Feed the work-piece through the saw keeping it indexed against the Rip Fence. Use smooth, steady pressure and employ a push stick if necessary (Fig. 46). When the ripping width is greater than 300mm, with care, both hands can be used to guide/feed the material through the saw. The operators left hand will be to the LH side of the saw blade.

Ensure that the teeth are facing to the front of the saw, and that the arrow on the blade is in line with the motor direction (Fig. 50). • Replace the outer flange and nut and tighten securely with the spanners provided. Check that both blade flanges are in contact with the blade. • Replace the access plate and its fixing screw. Ensure that the fixing screw is correctly seated.

El tope guía normalmente se debe posicionar en el lado derecho de la hoja. Se bloquea en posición mediante la palanca de bloqueo. www.evolutionpowertools.com CARRETILLA CORREDIZA Esta máquina está equipada con una carretilla corrediza (Fig. 36) a la izquierda de la hoja. Este accesorio puede ser especialmente útil al hacer un corte cruzado de un material de sección pequeña, como la sección de una caja metálica o extrusiones, etc. Dicho material se puede sujetar a la carretilla corrediza usando la caja ingletadora asegurada y su mordaza de sujeción. De esta forma se mejora el control y la seguridad del operario.
www.evolutionpowertools.com CORTE CRUZADO Ajuste la caja ingletadora a 0° y apriete el tornillo de bloqueo vertical. Si usa la carretilla corrediza, coloque la caja ingletadora en la ranura en «T» del lado izquierdo y bloquéela en posición atornillando el tornillo de bloqueo en el orificio de posicionamiento. Nota: la caja ingletadora se puede usar en el lado derecho de la hoja en caso necesario.
www.evolutionpowertools.com CORTE CRUZADO REPETITIVO El corte cruzado repetitivo es el proceso de cortar una serie de piezas con la misma longitud sin tener que marcar cada pieza por separado. Nota: Recomendamos efectuar el corte cruzado repetitivo con la caja ingletadora posicionada en el lado izquierdo de la máquina y con el tope guía en el lado derecho de la máquina (Fig. 44). ADVERTENCIA: únicamente se puede usar el tope guía como tope de longitud si está bien colocado y ajustado. Fig.
www.evolutionpowertools.com Cuando se cortan al hilo tableros largos o paneles grandes, use siempre un soporte de trabajo remoto o pida ayuda a una persona formada y competente. Alimente la pieza de trabajo a través de la sierra, manteniéndola siempre alineada con respecto al tope guía. Emplee presión constante y suave, y use un empujador cuando sea necesario (Fig. 46).

Remarque : cl’étude des photos de l’outil assemblé et des éléments illustrés sur les pages consacrées à l’Aperçu de la machine et au Contenu de l’emballage, facilite considérablement cette procédure.

Faites-vous aider par une personne compétente pour le sortir de son emballage. POUR DÉPLOYER LES PIEDS Les pieds du chevalet se rangent sous le corps principal de l’outil. • Libérez le levier de maintien (Fig 13). • Déployez les pieds. • Veillez à ce que les pieds soient bien calés dans leur position de service.

www.evolutionpowertools.com • Saisissez la poignée de transport (Fig. 25). • Soulevez doucement et lentement les poignées, en veillant à ne pas déséquilibrer ou déstabiliser l’outil. • Déplacez l’outil à l’endroit voulu, à l’aide des roulettes. Une jauge angulaire située derrière la molette facilite ce réglage. • Actionnez (fermez) le levier de verrouillage de l’inclinaison après avoir réglé l’angle d’inclinaison qui vous convient. • Laissez la molette revenir à la position «normale ». BUTÉE PARALLÈLE Cet outil est muni d’une butée parallèle en deux éléments. Nous vous recommandons d’utiliser la butée parallèle avec sa plaque de contact réglable. Fig.

La butée d’onglet peut être bloquée sur le chariot de guidage, en serrant la vis de blocage de coulisse de butée d’onglet (Fig. 32). Remarque : la plaque de contact de la butée d’onglet, doit être réglée de manière à ce qu’elle effleure le carter de lame, sans toutefois le toucher pendant l’exécution du travail de découpe.
www.evolutionpowertools.com CHARIOT DE GUIDAGE Cet outil est muni d’un chariot de guidage (Fig. 36), situé du côté gauche de la lame. Ce chariot peut s’avérer particulièrement utile pour la découpe transversale de petites sections de matériaux, comme les sections carrées de métal ou extrusions, etc. Ces matériaux peuvent être calés sur le chariot de guidage à l’aide de la butée d’onglet calée et de son serre-flan.
www.evolutionpowertools.com DÉCOUPE TRANSVERSALE Réglez la butée d’onglet sur 0°, vissez la vis de blocage verticale. Si vous utilisez le chariot de guidage, placez la butée d’onglet dans la fente en « T » gauche. Calez-la en vissant la vis de blocage dans le trou de centrage. Remarque : la butée d’onglet peut aussi s’utiliser du côté droit. Dans ce cas, elle coulisse « librement » dans la fente en «T » inversé située du côté droit de la table.
www.evolutionpowertools.com DÉCOUPE TRANSVERSALE EN SÉRIE La découpe transversale en série désigne la procédure de découpe de plusieurs pièces de même longueur, sans être obligé de marquer chaque pièce individuellement. Remarque : nous vous recommandons de procéder aux découpes transversales en série en plaçant la butée d’onglet du côté gauche de l’outil et la butée parallèle du côté droit (Fig. 44). Fig.
www.evolutionpowertools.com Poussez la pièce à exécuter sur la scie, en la maintenant en contact avec la butée parallèle. Exercez une pression douce et uniforme et servez-vous d’une tige poussoir si nécessaire (Fig. 46). Si la largeur de refente dépasse 300 mm et en prenant vos précautions, utilisez vos deux mains pour guider/faire passer le matériau à travers la scie. La main gauche de l’opérateur se trouvera du côté gauche de la lame de la scie.

Remontez la bride extérieure et l’écrou ; vissez solidement à l’aide des clés fournies. Vérifiez que les deux brides de la lame sont bien en contact avec la lame. Remontez la plaque d’accès de la table et sa vis de fixation. Veillez à ce que la vis de fixation soit bien centrée.
