Instructions / Assembly

Installation: Install Everbilt Synthetic Roofing Underlayment in compliance with all
relevant codified requirements (including, but not limited to ATSM E108, D226, D4533,
D5035, D8257), depending on the type of nail roofing surface to be installed. Remove
debris and waste from roofing surface before beginning and dispose of properly. Check
for protruding fasteners and re-fasten any loose panels on roof deck. Fasteners to be
used with Everbilt Synthetic Roofing Underlayment should be corrosion-resistant nails
with plastic caps and minimum head diameter of 1 in. Use of any other type of fastener
may void warranty. Install fasteners through underlayment into roof deck at a 90°
angle to roofing surface with nail fastener position creating a -ush surface between
the plastic cap of the fastener and the top of the upper surface of the underlayment.
Install horizontally with printed side up. Create overlaps with layers in a shingle-style
pattern, running down the roof with the flow of water. Horizontal and vertical overlaps
should be 4-6 in. Starting at the eave, fasten in increments of 6 in along the edges at
the marked areas. Additional fasteners may be added down the center of the roll in
increments of 12 in at the additional marked areas. In areas prone to high wind speeds,
additional fasteners with smaller incremental gaps should be applied. When lapping
vertically, stagger overlaps at least 3 ft apart.
Important: When using non-breathable roofing underlayment a professional must
ensure adequate attic ventilation to address the potential for moisture entrapment,
excessive moisture buildup, and condensation in accordance with all necessary and
applicable local building codes.
