Instructions / Assembly

Decorative Sliding Door Track must be installed into a solid blocking or extended head casing.
WARNING: Do NOT install Track Hardware solely on drywall or other wallboard surface as these surfaces
may not support the track. Every track mounting screw used in the installation process
needs to be securely fastened into a structural surface.
A. If you do not have drywall yet, add wooden blocking across the studs. Typical
solid blocking needs to be 1
in x 4 in and at least the same length as the track.
B1. If the wall is complete and has drywall, use a mounting board to add support for
heavy doors. Use interior screws (not included) to secure the board to wall studs.
B2. If your opening has a trim around it, you will need to install 1
in x 4 in x track length
header. This will help to avoid door contact with trim when installed.

To install the track, measure up from the finished floor “1/2 in for floor guide + door
height + 1-1/2
in to the center of the track. Leave a minimum of 2 in from the end of the
track to the side of the door opening and use a level to level the track. Once the track
has been leveled, mark screw holes and predrill 3/16 in. pilot holes.
Insert all 4 screw shields in the larger holes of the track flush. Align spacers behind the
track and attach track to the board or wall.
NOTE: For door openings less than 30
in or wider than 36 in (when connecting
multiple tracks), doorstops may need to be attached before installing the track.
See step 7 on how to install doorstops.

Door width recommendation: 4 in wider than the recommended door width openings,
leaving 2
in on each side.
Mortise 1/4
in wide by 3/4 in deep continuous groove in the bottom of door for Floor
Guide. This will prevent door from swinging in and out.
Preparing Door

Using the spanner wrench, remove the round cover over bolt head. Position hanger on
front of door so it is parallel to the edge of the door, leaving at least 2
in between the
edge of the door and the hanger. Adjust vertical placement of hangers leaving 1-3/4
in
from the top of the door to the center of the first hanger hole using the hanger as a
template. Mark hanger screw locations and repeat for the second hanger. Using a 3/8
in. drill bit, drill through holes on the door. For 1-3/8
in thick doors use 1-3/4 in bolts and
for 1-3/4
in doors use 2-1/8 in bolts to mount hangers as shown. Reattach round cover
over bolt head.
WARNING: To avoid damaging the door, do not overtighten bolts in hollow core door.

If anti-jump pins were removed during door placement onto track, reattach the anti-jump
pins to secure the door in place and prevent it from leaving the rod it is hanging on.

If you do not have enough space to slide the door onto track from the side, remove
pre-installed anti-jump pins from the hangers, using the included Allen wrench. This will
allow door to be placed onto the track from the top. Anti-jump pins will need to be
fastened back, once the door is hung.
