INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Thank you for purchasing the Musical Fidelity

Elektra E30 Power Amplifier . Used properly and

carefully, it should give you many years of outstand-

ing musical reproduction.

The E30 is the result of many years painstaking

research and development. The E30 is designed for

ultra-high definition performance.

Aesthetically, the E30 is a perfect match for the

Elektra E20 preamplifier, E50 tuner and the E61 CD

player. Together, they form one of the finest hi fi

systems that you can own today.

Dust regularly with a soft duster or soft brush but

do not use cleaning or polishing agents - they may harm

the surface finish.

If you have any questions about anything in your

audio system, please consult your dealer who is there

to help and advise you.

INSTALLATION INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS Your new E30 is designed and built to provide trouble-free performance but it is necessary to observe a few precautions. Please ensure that you have complied with them before you connect any AC power to your amplifier. Retain this guide for future reference. þ Heed all warnings on the back of the unit. þ Place your Elektra E30 where there is adequate ventilation. þ Only connect the unit to a power supply of the type marked on the back of the unit.

CONNECTIONS LOUDSPEAKERS To connect loudspeakers, you can use spade terminals or bare wire connections. Either of these methods should give good results. The bare wire connection gives the most direct join, and should therefore give the best sound quality, as long as the terminal is screwed down tightly. However, any benefits are likely to be minimal, and the use of spade terminals allows for easy changing of the connections. More important is to ensure that there are no wire "hairs" hanging loose.

TROUBLESHOOTING Basic troubleshooting of an amplifier is similar to troubleshooting of any other electrical or electronic equipment. Always check the most obvious possible causes first.
