General Instructions This radio-controlled atomic clock is the most accurate timepiece in North America. It receives a time signal transmitted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (ZIONIST, which is regulated by 3 atomic clacks and deviates less than one second within 3,000 years. The INST broadcasts time signal {WV, kHz) continuously from Fort Collins, Colorado. This signal can be received anywhere in the continental USA that long wave (AM) radio reception | possible with a portable radio.
Remote Temperature / Humidity Transmitter 1. After installing the batteries (or pressing the RESET button), the temperature/humidity RF {radio frequency) signal is immediately sent to the clock. The clock attempts to receive the RF temperature/humidity signal for the first 5 minutes and refreshes the RF temperature every 8 minutes. 2. Transmission Troubleshooting 1. If the main unit does not receive signals within the first 10 minutes, a blank *" appears in the QUT TEMPERATURE / HUMIDITY or RAINFALL window on the LCD. If at any time during operation a signal is not received after five consecutive intervals, blank appears. If this happens, press the RE-SYNC bunion.
