ENGLISH 4.2 Location of the Remote Controller Fig.01 Max. 8m • Keep the remote controller where its signal can reach the receiver of the indoor unit (a maximum distance of 8 m is allowed). • If you keep the remote controller in a position that hinders proper signal transmission, a time lag of up to 15 minutes may occur. • When the remote controller sends will blink out a signal, the symbol for about 1 second on the display.

Displays when °C or °F mode is selected. Turn the remote controller off and the °C/°F can be switched by pressing Mode and DOWN buttons at the same time. www.electrolux.com 8. HOW TO USE THE REMOTE CONTROLLER Ensure the unit is plugged in and power is available. The OPERATION indicator on the display panel of the indoor unit illuminates. Automatic Operation A C B 1. Press the ON/OFF button (A) to start the air conditioner. 2. Press the MODE button (B) to select Auto. 3. Press the UP/DOWN button (C) to set the desired temperature. The temperature can be set within a range of 16ºC/61ºF~30ºC/88ºF in 1ºC/1ºF increments.
ENGLISH 13 Dehumidifying Operation 1. Press the ON/OFF button (A) to start the air conditioner. 2. Press the MODE button (B) to select DRY mode. 3. Press the UP/DOWN button (C) to set the desired temperature. The temperature can be set within a range of 16ºC/61ºF~30ºC/88ºF in 1ºC/1ºF increments. Keep the button pressed for two seconds to accelerate the process. 4. Press the ON/OFF button (A) to turn the air conditioner off. • In the Dehumidifying mode, you can not switch the fan speed.
www.electrolux.com Swing Operation A 1. When press the button (A) once and quickly, the air flow direction setting feature of the louver is activated. 2. If keep pressing the SWING button without releasing for 2 more seconds, the auto swing feature of the louver is activated. The horizontal louver would swing up/down automatically. Press it again to stop.
ENGLISH To set the Timer-off time. 1. Press the Timer-Off button. The signal will flash on the display in case of the first use of Timer-Off operation. Otherwise, the last set time will flash. Now it is ready to reset the Timer-Off time to TURN OFF the operation. 2. Push the UP/DOWN button to set desired Timer-Off time. Each time you press the button, the time increases in 1 minutes increments, holding the button down for 2 seconds will scroll more rapidly through the time display. 15 3.

ENGLISH 17 Eco(Sleep) Operation A 1ºC Set Tem. When you press the Eco/Sleep button (A), the economic running function will be activated, the set temperature will increase(cooling) or decrease(heating) by 1ºC(1ºF) per hour over a 2 hour period. The final temperature will then be maintained till further changes made by the user. The Eco/Sleep function is only available under Cooling, Heating and AUTO operation. 1ºC Cooling 1hour 1hour Set Tem.
www.electrolux.com X-fan Operation A In Cool and Dry mode, press the X-Fan button (A) to active the X-Fan function. Press the X-Fan button to active the Self-Cleaning. After the unit is turned off the indoor fan will continue operation for 2 minutes to dry the indoor unit prevent from bacteria and mildew growing. For models without X-Fan button, to enabled X-Fan function you need press Mode and Eco buttons at the same time.
ENGLISH 9. HOW TO USE THE INDOOR UNIT 1. Adjust the air flow direction properly otherwise it might cause discomfort or cause uneven room temperatures. 2. Adjust the horizontal louver using the remote controller. 3. Adjust the vertical louver manually. Vertical louver To set the vertical air flow (Up-Down) direction Perform this function while the unit is in operation. Use the remote controller to adjust the air flow direction.

OPTIMAL OPERATION To achieve optimal performance, please note the following: • Adjust the air flow direction correctly so that it is not towards people. • Adjust the temperature to achieve the highest comfort level. Do not adjust the unit to excessive temperature levels. • Close doors and windows on COOL or HEAT modes, or performance may be reduced. • Use TIMER ON button on the remote controller to select a time you want to start your air conditioner.

Insert the upper portion of air filter back into the unit, taking care that the left and right edges line up correctly and place filter into position. ENGLISH If you plan to idle the unit for a long time, perform the following: 1. Clean the indoor unit and filters. 2. Operate the fan for about half a day to dry the inside of the unit. 3. Stop the air conditioner and disconnect power. 4. Remove the batteries from the remote controller. The outdoor unit requires periodic maintenance and cleaning. Do not attempt to do this yourself. Low noise of the air conditioner You may hear a low hissing sound when the compressor is running or has just stopped running. It is the sound of the refrigerant flowing or coming to a stop. You can also hear a low “squeak” sound when the compressor is running or has just stopped running. This is caused by heat expansion and cold contraction of the plastic parts in the unit when the temperature is changing.
