Safety Precautions Safety Precautions Do not dry unwashed items in the machine The machine is not to be used if industrial chemicals have been used for cleaning. Do not allow minors to use the machine. Do not hose down the machine with water. The machine's door lock must under no circumstances be bypassed.
General 7 General Control Panel The control panel is used to choose the drying program with options and to start and stop the machine. The panel houses a control knob and a display. Some machines also have two preset buttons. 1 1 Display Preset buttons Control knob 2 The control knob is used to select drying program and any other available functions. 2 Turn the knob until the required program is shown on the display. 3 Confirm your choice by pushing in the knob.
General 8 Display 4 The display presents the drying programs and additional functions. The up and down arrows on the right-hand side of the display indicate that there are more options available in the current menu. Turn the knob for next program. Note! If there is not enough room to show all the text on the display, the first part will be displayed briefly before the text scrolls to the side to display the second part. This sequence will be repeated as long the text in question is activated.
General Drying Program 9 1 The machine is programmed with a number of programs adapted to the range of uses to which the machine is intended. EXTRA DRY The following drying programs can be available: 1 Drying program EXTRA DRY.* 2 Drying program DRY.* 3 Drying program IRON DRY 5 %.* DRY 2 DRY IRON DRY 5% * Automatic program controlled by Residual Moisture Control (RMC) to the specified dryness. 4 Time program X MINUTES. Duration depends on the selected time, up to 90 minutes.
General 10 Drying Functions 1 START 1 EXTRA DRY Turn the control knob to the START row. Press the knob to start the selected program. HIGH TEMP START CHANGE TEMPERATURE STOP 2 Press the control knob to stop the program. Restart the drying program by pressing the control knob again. Changing drying program after starting 3 2 Press the control knob to stop the program. Turn the control knob to the new program and press.
Handling Handling Starting with preset button 1 • Press the preset button for the desired program. • If the machine has a coin meter, insert the correct amount of coins/tokens and press the button in order to start. • If the machine is in a booking system it will be necessary to book the machine in a central system before it is possible to start it. Note! Pushing one of these buttons will activate the corresponding drying program directly and the machine will start automatically.
Handling 12 Starting with control knob 1 2 3 1 • Select the desired drying program with the control knob and confirm by pressing the knob. EXTRA DRY • Turn knob clockwise to change drying temperature. DRY • Press knob and select desired temperature: HIGH (70 °C), MEDIUM (60 °C) or LOW (50 °C). • Press knob to start. 2 EXTRA DRY On coin-operated machines the duration of the program is controlled by the coin/token inserted HIGH TEMP. CHANGE TEMP. • Pay for the desired time.
Error codes Error codes 1 13 1 A fault in the program or in the machine is indicated by an error message comprising an error code and a descriptive text. The drying program and the error code can be reset before restarting by holding in the knob for at least 10 seconds or turning off the power to the machine. Maintenance Maintenance 15 1 The following should be carried out at regular intervals, depending on the frequency of use. Daily, T4130 1 2 • Check that the drum stops when the door is opened. • Check that the lint screen in the door has been cleaned. The lint screen must be removed for cleaning. Use a soft brush or your hand. Remember to re-install the lint screen. • Check that the gaskets around the coarse finlter/air condenser and the door gasket have been cleaned. Clean with a moist cloth.
Maintenance 16 Daily, T4190 • Check that the drum stops when the door is opened. • Check that the machine will not start until the start button has been activated. Monthly, T4190 Dryer with RMC Wipe off/clean drum and lifters with citric acid (Acidum citricum). If soap/softener residue remains, it is recommended also to use a coarse sponge.
