Introduction Congratulations and thank you for purchasing the ELAC IS-AMP340 Amplifier! Since the time we started in 1926, ELAC has always striven to achieve the very best! IS-AMP340 is a 3 channel amplifier with a line output for connecting a subwoofer. The amplifier allows you to connect a center speaker in addition to left and right speakers. A subwoofer line output is included for connecting a powered subwoofer to reproduce deep and rich bass.

AC MAINS - After all other connections have been made and confirmed, using the included power cord, connect the AC Mains on the IS-AMP340 to an unswitched AC outlet. 2. Rear Panel Features (cont.) 7. Digital IN - Using a quality digital optical audio cable, connect the Optical OUT on a source component to the Optical IN on the IS-AMP340. This input can be selected pressing Opt on IR remote or from the app. This input can also be selected from the ISAMP340 unit WEB page via Ethernet connection. 8. IR IN - Plug in the provided 3.5mm IR receiver cable. 9. ETHERNET - Using an Ethernet cable, connect the Ethernet port on the IS-AMP340 to local network (LAN).
IR Remote Features 1. On - Press to turn unit ON. The IS-AMP340 can also be turned on from the WEB page via Ethernet connection. 2. VOLUME/TRANSPORT Volume - The Volume controls will adjust the volume to the speakers, subwoofer, (if used). Press Vol+ to increase volume. Press Vol - to decrease volume. Transport - The Transport buttons will control play/pause, previous track and next track on a compatible Android or iOS device that is bluetooth paired to the IS-AMP340. Press once to Play a selected track.
Installation Amplifier Location The IS-AMP340 amplifier is designed to be mounted in an in-wall electrical box, on the wall or mounted the rear of the TV. Provide enough space around the amplifier for the free flow of air, and do no block any of the vents on the bottom, sides or top, particularly if the amp is going to be located in a cabinet or closet.

Use 16AWG (max) 2-conductor stranded speaker wire for speaker connections. 2. Strip approximately 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch off the ends and twist the strands together so there are no loose ends that can cause shorts. 3.
Connections (cont..) NOTE: If the Speaker Out senses a short, the amplifier will enter protect mode and ‘Fault’ will appear in the IS-AMP340 web page and app. In “Fault” mode, the audio amp will be shut down, but the logic and control will remain on. To reset the amp, power cycle the amp (unplug the amplifier from the wall jack for minimum 30 seconds and then plug it back in). If the amp does not return to normal operation, please contact ELAC at 714.252.8843 or at service@elac.us.

IS-AMP340 GUI Control Panel (cont) GUI Controls Defined The IS-AMP340 amplifier GUI control panel is shown in Figure 6. Most of the GUI controls are simple and self explanatory, but some of them are described below in detail. Power On/Off - Use this control to select the power on/off mode: • Auto On/Off - The amplifier is detecting the audio signal and it is turning on/off automatically. If there is no audio for aprox. 20 min. the amplifier is turns off. • 12V Trigger - Requires 12V (>5 ...
Bluetooth BLUETOOTH Minimum Bluetooth Requirements: Bluetooth Version: v4.0 or better. BLUETOOTH PAIRING (BLUETOOTH AUDIO STREAMING) 1. Confirm that Bluetooth is ON on the device to be used. 2. On the IS-AMP340 IR Remote, press the button to switch the amp to the Bluetooth input. Next, press and hold the button to start the pairing process. 3. Under Available Devices, select ELAC IS-AMP340 for bluetooth pairing.
IS-AMP340 App IS-AMP340 APP The IS-AMP340 App is a two-way setup app that connects to the amp via Bluetooth Low Energy. App setup features include: source select, master volume, offset (individual source) volume, source naming, bass/treble, sub volume, balance, Auto Blend, IR Remote learning and screen brightness. The app will open to the Master Volume screen when launched. MASTER VOLUME The Master Volume slider sets the amplifier output volume.
IS-AMP340 App 3. Adjust the Offset for each source until the output from the speakers is consistent across all sources. The settings will be automatically stored in the amp. SETUP The settings for Input Names, Bass/Treble, Sub Level, Screen Brightness and Speaker Balance can all be accessed by tapping the Settings Gear in the top right corner of the app when in the Source select/Volume screen. (Figure 6) Tap the gear. The Settings Menu will appear.
IS-AMP340 App BASS/TREBLE The Bass/Treble section adjusts the tone controls for the IS-AMP340 master output. Each control can be adjusted +/-12dB. 1. In the Settings Menu tap Bass/Treble. 2. With a fingertip, slide the blue dot on the Bass slider to adjust bass to desired level. A bubble will appear to indicate level setting. 3. With a fingertip, slide the blue dot on the Treble slider to adjust treble to desired level. A bubble will appear to indicate level setting. 4.
IS-AMP340 App SPEAKER BALANCE Speaker Balance adjusts the relative volume of the left and right speakers. Use this control to adjust the stereo sound from the speakers if they are unevenly placed relative to the listening position. Each control can be adjusted +/-100 with 0 being center. 1. In the settings menu tap Balance. 2. With a fingertip, slide the blue dot on the Speaker Balance slider to adjust balance to the desired position. A bubble will appear to indicate the setting. 3.
IS-AMP340 App REMOTE LEARNING The Remote Learning section allows the ISAMP340 to learn IR commands from other remote controls. This can simplify user control by teaching the amp commands from another remote such as a TV remote so that remote can be used to control the TV, ISAMP340 and other devices if capable. When learning commands, be sure to use commands that will make sense when controlling the amp. Use volume up/down commands for volume. Use source select commands for source select functions.

When finished tap the slider icon at the top right to return to the source/volume screen. ABOUT The About screen indicates important information about the device to which the app is synchronized (IS-AMP340). This can be useful for service purposes to determine whether the device has most current firmware to provide best performance and latest features.

SPEAKER OUT (SORTIE DES HAUT-PARLEURS) - À l’aide d’un fil de haut-parleur de calibre 16 (maximum), connectez les sorties des haut-parleurs droit, gauche et central du ISAMP340 aux bornes de haut-parleur adéquates sur les haut-parleurs droit, gauche et central. Avant de connecter les fils des haut-parleurs, torsadez les extrémités du fil du haut-parleur de sorte qu’il n’y ait pas de parties dénudées qui pourraient causer des courts-circuits.

Installation Positionnement de l’amplificateur L’amplificateur IS-AMP340 a été conçu pour être installé dans un boîtier électrique encastré, au mur ou à l’arrière de la télévision. Prévoyez suffisamment d’espace autour de l’amplificateur pour la libre circulation de l’air, et n’obstruez pas les orifices d’aération situées dessous, sur les côtés ou dessus, en particulier si l’amplificateur doit être installé dans une armoire ou un placard.

Connexions (suite) REMARQUE : Si la sortie des haut-parleurs détecte un court-circuit, l’amplificateur passera en mode protection et le message « Fault » (défaillance) apparaîtra sur la page Web et dans l’application IS-AMP340. En mode de défaillance, l’amplificateur audio s’éteindra, mais la logique et le contrôle resteront allumés. Pour réinitialiser l’amplificateur, mettez-le hors puis sous tension (débranchez l’amplificateur de la prise murale pendant au moins 30 secondes, puis rebranchez-le).

La plupart des commandes de l’interface graphique sont simples et évidentes, mais certaines d’entre elles sont décrites en détail ci-dessous.
Bluetooth BLUETOOTH Configuration minimale requise pour le Bluetooth : Version Bluetooth : v4.0 ou supérieure. JUMELAGE PAR BLUETOOTH (LECTURE EN CONTINU D’AUDIO PAR BLUETOOTH) 1. Confirmez que le Bluetooth est activé sur l’appareil à utiliser. 2. Sur la télécommande infrarouge du IS-AMP340, appuyez sur le bouton pour passer de l’amplificateur à l’entrée de l’appareil Bluetooth. Ensuite, appuyez longuement sur le bouton pour débuter le jumelage. 3.
Application IS-AMP340 APPLICATION IS-AMP340 L’application IS-AMP340 est une application de configuration bidirectionnelle qui se connecte à l’amplificateur par Bluetooth faible consommation.
Application IS-AMP340 3. Réglez le décalage pour chaque source jusqu’à ce que la sortie des haut-parleurs ou des écouteurs soit uniforme pour toutes les sources. Les paramètres sont automatiquement enregistrés dans l’amplificateur.
Application IS-AMP340 BASS/TREBLE (GRAVES/AIGUS) La section sur les graves/aigus règle les commandes de tonalité pour la sortie principale du IS-AMP340. Chaque commande peut être réglée entre +/-12 dB. 1. Dans le menu Paramètres, tapez Bass/ Treble (graves/aigus). 2. Avec votre doigt, faites glisser le point bleu sur le curseur Bass (graves) pour régler les graves au niveau désiré. Une bulle s’affichera pour indiquer le réglage du niveau. 3.
Application IS-AMP340 SPEAKER BALANCE (BALANCE DU SON) La balance du son règle le volume relatif des haut-parleurs gauche et droit. Utilisez cette commande pour régler le son stéréo à partir des haut-parleurs si ces derniers sont placés de manière inégale par rapport à la position d’écoute. Einleitung Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Kauf des Verstärkers ELAC IS-AMP340! Seit der Firmengründung im Jahre 1926 hat sich ELAC stetiges Streben nach Höchstleistung zum Prinzip gemacht. Der IS-AMP340 ist ein 3-Kanal-Verstärker mit Line-Ausgang zum Anschluss eines Subwoofers. Netzeingang Nach dem Anschluss aller Verbindungen zu Quellgeräten und Lautsprechern wird das beiliegende Netzkabel mit der Netzeingangsbuchse des IS-AMP340 und mit einer nicht geschalteten Steckdose verbunden. Status-LED – zeigt den Status des IS-AMP340 an. Grün – zeigt an, dass der Verstärker eingeschaltet ist. Rot – zeigt an, dass der Verstärker ausgeschaltet ist.

Dieser Eingang kann durch Drücken auf OPT auf der Fernbedienung bzw. in der App, oder durch Anwahl über die IS-AMP340-Webseite angewählt werden. IR IN – Schließen Sie hier das mitgelieferte 3,5 mm Infrarotempfängerkabel an.
Infrarotfernbedienung 1. 2. On – Drücken Sie diese Taste, um den Verstärker einzuschalten. Er kann ebenfalls über das Web-Interface eingeschaltet werden. Lautstärke und Transportfunktion Lautstärke: Zum Erhöhen der Wiedergabelautstärke drücken Sie die Taste VOL +. Zum Reduzieren der Wiedergabelautstärke drücken Sie die Taste VOL -. Die Lautstärke eines angeschlossenen Subwoofers wird in gleichem Maße reduziert bzw. angehoben. Transportfunktion: >|| Einmaliges Drücken aktiviert die Wiedergabe.
Aufbau Installation des Verstärkers Der IS-AMP340 ist für die Installation in einem Unterputzverteiler, auf einer Wand oder hinter einem Fernsehgerät vorgesehen. Sorgen Sie für eine optimale Luftzirkulation, indem Sie ausreichend freien Raum um das Gehäuse herum zur Verfügung stellen. Achten Sie insbesondere beim Einbau in ein geschlossenes Volumen darauf, keine der Belüftungsöffnungen auf der Unterseite und Oberseite abzudecken, auch nicht mit den Zuleitungen.

Anschluss (cont..) Anmerkung: Sollte der Verstärker einen Kurzschluss an einem Ausgang feststellen, wechselt er in den abgesicherten Modus und zeigt dies im Web-Interface und in der App als „Fault“ an. Im abgesicherten Modus wird die Endstufe abgeschaltet, die Logik bleibt aber aktiv. Um den Verstärker zurückzusetzen, entfernen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose, warten Sie 30 Sekunden und stecken den Stecker wieder ein.

IS-AMP340 GUI Control Panel (cont) Beschreibung des Web-Interfaces In Fig. 6 wird das IS-AMP340 Web-Interface dargestellt. Die meisten Einstellmöglichkeiten sind einfach und selbsterklärend. Einige von ihnen sollen hier näher erläutert werden. Power On/Off – Hier kann der Power-On/Off-Modus eingestellt werden. •.Auto On/Off – Der Verstärker reagiert auf ein Audio-Signal und schaltet sich automatisch bei Signal ein und nach zwanzigminütiger Stille aus.
Bluetooth BLUETOOTH Bluetooth Mindestanforderungen: Bluetooth Version v4.0 oder besser. BLUETOOTH PAIRING (BLUETOOTH AUDIO STREAMING) 1. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass Bluetooth bei dem Gerät, welches Sie verwenden möchten, aktiviert ist. 2. Drücken Sie die Bluetooth-Taste auf der IS-AMP340-Fernbedienung, um den Verstärker auf den Bluetooth-Eingang umzuschalten. Drücken und halten Sie die Taste gedrückt, um den Pairing-Prozess zu starten. 3. Wählen Sie bei den angezeigten Bluetooth-Geräten den IS-AMP340 aus.
IS-AMP340 App IS-AMP340 APP Die IS-AMP340 App ist eine sog. bidirektionale App, die sich mit dem Verstärker über Bluetooth Low Energy verbindet. Die App bietet die Features Quellenwahl (Source Select), Lautstärke (Master Volume), Lautstärkeeinstellung der einzelnen Kanäle (Offset Volume), Quellenbezeichnung (Source Naming), Bass / Höhen (Bass / Treble), Subwoofer Lautstärke (Sub Volume), Balance (Balance), automatische Filteranpassung (Auto Blend), Fernbedienungs-Lernfunktion und Display-Helligkeit.
IS-AMP340 App EINRICHTUNG Die Einstellungen für die Namen der Eingänge, Bässe / Höhen, Subwoofer Pegel, Bildschirmhelligkeit und Balance können über das Setup-Symbol in der rechten oberen Ecke des Volume-Bildschirmes (s. Bild 6) verändert werden. Tippen Sie auf das Symbol, das Setup-Menü öffnet sich. IS-AMP340 App BASS- UND HÖHENEINSTELLUNG Mit Hilfe der Bass / Treble-Steller wird der Klang der Ausgänge des IS-AMP340 eingestellt. IS-AMP340 App REMOTE LEARNING Das Remote Learning-Menü bietet die Möglichkeit, den IS-AMP340 Infrarotcodes von anderen Fernbedienungen lernen zu lassen. Somit kann der Anwendungskomfort deutlich verbessert werden, indem z.B. die Fernbedienung für das Fernsehgerät gelernt wird. Die Fernbedienung kontrolliert dann neben dem Fernsehgerät auch den IS-AMP340 und andere Geräte. Beim Anlernen der Infrarotkommandos sollten Sie darauf achten, die Tasten sinnvoll zu belegen.
