Trouble shooting steps
Most headphones have 3 rings. The ring closest to the base of the cord is the ground,
the middle ring sends the signal to the right side of the headphone, and the outer ring
sends the signal to the left side of the headphone.
Typically, the left ring will reach even when impeded by a protective case, but the right
ring will not. Also, the ground will not reach which will result in static. Users must
remove the protective case if they wish for the headphones to work as intended.
