Getting Started Thank you for purchasing Edimax wireless access point! Before deploying the Access Point, please make sure all the PCs in your wired network are able to obtain an IP address automatically from the router like the figure below. After the Access Point is deployed, you can surf the Internet / Intranet wirelessly as show in the figure below.
Physical Description Front Panel The LED lights located on the Access Point’s upper panel provide information of the Access Point’s current status. LED PWR (Power) WLAN (Wireless LAN) LAN 1~ 5 (Link / Act) Color Status Description Lit Power is supplied. Off No Power. Green Flash Wireless is transmitting or receiving data. Off Wireless is not transmitting or receiving data. On A valid link is established. Orange Green Flash Off 4 It is transmitting or receiving data.
Back Panel z Antenna Connector This is where you connect the antenna. It is a round connector (standard Reverse SMA). z 5 VDC This is where you connect the power adapter. z WPS/Reset Reset the access point to factory default settings (clear all settings) or start WPS function. Press this button and hold for 20 seconds to clear all settings, and press this button for less than 5 seconds to start WPS function.
Installation Connected the Access Point in the same LAN with your computer and insert the CD. Click Setup Wizard and follow the instruction on the screen.
