How to Operate the Sound Effect Software
1. Speaker Volume Control Interface
Please see the following interface for the speaker volume control.
Speaker volume control: first click on the "Speakers" icon to switch to the speaker
setting interface,then right-clickto select "Volume Control".
Master volume control: drag the "Master" bar to adjust the volume of all channels.
Mute/mute off the speaker output: click the " " icon to mute/mute off the speaker
output.
Volume control of left channel: in the " " state, drag the "L" bar to adjust the volume
of all left channels.
Volume control of right channel: in the " " state, drag the "R" bar to adjust the
volume of all right channels.
Left/right channel lock: click the " " icon to lock the left and right channels.
Customize volume value: in the input box users can enter volume value ranging from
-37dB to 0dB.
2. Sample Rate Interface
Right-click on the "Speakers" icon to select "Sample Rate" to switch to the following interface.
Setting method: first click on the "Speakers" icon to switch to the speaker setting
interface, then right-click to select "Sample Rate" for sample rate setting.
Sample rate switching:
Click checkbox in front of 44.1 KHz to select 44.1KHz sample rate.
Click checkbox in front of 48 KHz to select 48KHz sample rate.
3. Equalizer Interface
Right-click on the "Speakers" icon to select "Equalizer" to switch to the following interface.
There are 10-band debugging functions of equalizer by default in this interface. Users can
manually adjust the gain of each equalizer frequency point, and create a customized preset
or click a preset EQ mode.
Enable Equalizer: click this checkbox to enable/disable EQ.
Preset mode: select a preset mode for the preset equalizer; 12 preset modes: Bass,
Treble, Live, Rock, Jazz, etc.
EQ with controller: adjust the gain of each frequency point to customize EQ. (30/60/
120/250/500/1000/2K/4K/8K/16K).
Save the customized EQ: after adjusting the gain of EQ frequency point, users can
rename EQ to save or delete it.

Environment Effects Interface
Right-click on the "Speakers" icon to select "Environment Effects" to switch to the following
interface. There are different environment effects and room sizes in this interface for users
to choose.
Enable Environment Effects: click this checkbox to enable/disable EQ.
Environment: 26 preset modes of environment effects: Generic, Room, Living Room,
Concert Hall, etc.
Room Size: click to choose different room sizes for different music experience.
6. Speaker Xear SingFX interface
Right-click on the "Speakers" icon to select "Xear SingFX" (Magic Voice) to switch to the
following interface. There are tone shifting of output audio and vocal fading function in
this interface, and users can adjust the intensity of fading.
Enable Key Shifting: click this checkbox to enable/disable the xear audio shifting; drag
the sliding bar to pitch up or pitch down tone.
Enable Vocal Fading: click this checkbox to enable/disable the vocal fading function;
drag the sliding bar to adjust the fading degree.
7. Xear Surround Max Interface
Right-click on the "Speakers" icon to select "Xear Surround Max" (Surround Sound) to
switch to the following interface. There is virtual surround sound effect function in this
interface.
Enable Xear Surround Max: click this checkbox to enable the surround sound effect.
There is 7.1 virtual sound available.
8. Mic-In Volume Control Interface
Right-click on the "Microphone" icon to select "Volume Control" to switch to the following
interface. There are microphone input adjustment and monitor volume adjustment functions
in this interface.
Mic-In: drag the sliding bar to increase/decrease the microphone input volume.
Mic-In mute switch and volume gain input settings: click the " " icon to mute/mute
off the microphone input; in the input box users can enter volume gain ranging from
-12dB to 23dB.
Monitor: drag the sliding bar to increase/decrease the monitor input volume.
Monitor mute switch and volume gain input settings: click the " " icon to mute/mute
off the monitor input. In the input box users can enter volume gain ranging from -23dB
to 8dB.
9. Mic-In Sample Rate Interface
Right-click on the "Microphone" icon to select "Sample Rate" to switch to the following
interface. There are sample rates of 44.1 KHz and 48 KHz in this interface.
Click checkbox in front of 44.1 KHz to select 44.1 KHz sample rate.
Click checkbox in front of 48 KHz to select 48 KHz sample rate.
10. Mic-In Xear SingFX Interface
Right-click on the "Microphone" icon to select "Xear SingFX" to switch to the following
interface. There are Microphone Echo and Magic Voice functions in this interface.
Microphone Echo: click this checkbox to enable Microphone Echo function; drag the
sliding bar to increase/decrease the input echo.
Magic Voice: click this checkbox to enable Magic Voice function; magic voices: Monster,
Cartoon, Male, Female.
11. Mic-In Microphone Boost Interface
Right-click on the "Microphone" icon to select "Microphone Boost" to switch to the following
interface. There is microphone boost function in this interface.
Enable Microphone Boost: click this checkbox to enable the microphone boost function.
• To work with Macbook devices:
Connect the headset onto USB ports on Macbook;
Run the “System Preferences” to change sound settings;
Choose the USB device as audio output and Mic input.
The product model connected to the Mac will be displayed in the “USB” position.
5. 7.1 Virtual Speaker Shifter Interface
Right-click on the "Speakers" icon to select "7.1 Virtual Speaker Shifter" to switch to the
following interface. There are virtual 7.1 sound effect in this interface for users to adjust
channels.
Enable 7.1 Virtual Speaker Shifter: click this checkbox to enable the xear surround
sound effect.
Sound channel control: click different icons to rotate sound channel clockwise, counter
clockwise, or manually. Users can also manually drag the "C"/"W"/"L"/"Ls"/"Lb"/"R"/"Rs"
/"Rb" icon to adjust the sound channel, and there is also a reset button " ".
Gain adjustment of different channels: click the "+" / "-" icon to set volume gain.
Sound Effect Software Guideline
of G2 and G4 TE Headset
Download and install the Sound Effect Software
1. Please log in HECATE home page website: www.edifier-gaming.com, select "SOUND
EFFECT SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD", and download the corresponding software package in
terms of your computer’s operating system.
2. Please unzip the compressed software package, find the "setup.exe" file, and follow the
instructions to complete the installation. The software can operate upon restarting the
computer.
Note: please ensure the headset is connected to the computer prior to installation.
