Control Buttons & Operations
Power On
Press any button to “wake up” the remote. The LED
on the front of the remote will flash BLUE. Once
connected to your smartphone, the LED will flash
GREEN with each subsequent button press.
Play / Pause
Press once to pause and play song tracks.
Track Selection
Press once for previous track selection.
Press once to advance the track selection.
Volume
Press once to decrease the volume.
Press once to increase the volume.
Mounting Instructions
Quick Start Instructions
Lightly squeeze locking arms on the
remote and slide to remove the remote
from the mount.
Install CR2032 battery. Fully close
battery door after installation to ensure
unit is waterproof.
PRESS AND HOLD on remote
to put it into Bluetooth Pairing Mode,
(LED on the front of the remote will
flash BLUE).
Go to Bluetooth Settings on your
smartphone and find, ECOXGEAR-RC.
Select to connect.
IMPORTANT: Maintaining Waterproofness
Your Bluetooth Remote is only waterproof when the
Battery Door is properly closed. In order to properly
close the cap, turn it clockwise, making sure that the
cap fits flat and flush along the edges with the back
panel. If not properly closed the unit is NOT watertight.

Remote from Mount
The Bluetooth Remote comes with a low-profile,
quick-release mount. The provided mount can
be installed in two ways:
Provided 3M VHB adhesive tape
Remove protective sheets on 3M tape and
install tape onto the back of the mount.
Then install onto desired mount location.
Ensure surfaces are smooth and clean for
good adhesion.
Provided self-taping screws
Use the 4pcs of the self taping screws to
install the mount onto any surface.
Once installed, slide the remote into place on
the mount.
Lightly squeeze locking arms on the remote and
slide to remove the remote from the mount.

The remote is paired. The LED will turn off.
Now you can use the buttons on the remote
to control audio functions.
When pressing buttons on the remote the
LED will flash GREEN, indicating the remote is
paired to your smartphone and that the button
presses on the remote are communicating with
the smartphone.
Pair your smartphone to your ECOXGEAR
speakers (see Bluetooth Pairing instructions in
speaker user guide).
NOTES:
• After approximately 20 minutes of inactivity (no audio playing and no
buttons being pressed), the remote will go into Sleep Mode to conserve
battery life. Wake up the remote by pressing any button, then the remote will
automatically re-pair with your phone (after approximately 1-3 seconds). Once
re-paired, you can use the buttons on the remote to control audio functions
on your smartphone.
• The battery is NOT rechargeable. The battery should last about 9-12
months. Replace battery with CR2032 size only (available at most retail
and grocery stores).
• If the battery is low, the LED will flash RED whenever a button is pressed.
• If the battery is very low, the LED will flash RED every 4 minutes.
• The Universal Bluetooth Remote and ECOXGEAR speakers can both be
connected to your smartphone at the same time.
