Starting the System for the First Time Turning the System On/Off System Reset Press the engine start button or set the key to IGN or ACC. It is recommended that you press the RESET key using a tool, such as a pin or a paper clip. Once the system is turned on, then the booting process will start. No operations are supported while the system is booting.
Starting the System for the First Time Restrictions on Features for Safety Measures If you try to use features such as video mode that may distract you when you are driving, the system will turn the screen off or the function will be disabled and relevant warning message will appear. The audio player is not affected when video is off. The restriction screen will disappear when changing gear to P or putting the parking brake on. Radio Mode Starting Mode Selecting Presets Press the [RADIO] key ▶ Select the desired tab. Press the [Preset] button ▶ Select the preset you want to listen to. Pressing the [RADIO] key on the head unit to change the mode in order of FM1 → FM2 → AM. Using SEEK/TRACK Press the [SEEK], [TRACK] key to automatically search for frequencies. i Information You can save up to 6 preset channels each for FM1, FM2 and AM.

Discs About Discs Precautions for Handling Discs After using a disc, put the disc back in its original case to prevent disc scratches. Do not use abnormally shaped discs (8cm, heartshaped, octagon-shaped) as such discs could lead to malfunctions. Do not clean discs with chemical solutions, such as record sprays, antistatic sprays, antistatic liquids, benzene, or thinners. Do not expose the disc to direct sunlight or high temperatures for prolonged periods of time.

Discs About DVD Titles Icon Description Understanding of the DVD Titles • Contents of DVD Titles The video and sound recorded on a DVD are divided into titles and can be recognized by their title numbers. Each title is sub-divided into smaller units called chapters and each chapter can be recognized by the chapter number. The title number and chapter number of the currently playing DVD title is displayed on the upper side of the DVD operation menu screen.

Bluetooth Music Using Bluetooth® Music Mode • Bluetooth® Music Mode can be used only when a Bluetooth® phone has been connected. • While Bluetooth® Music is playing, if the Bluetooth® phone is disconnected, then the music will also stop. Selecting USB Image files While playing ▶ Press the [∧ SEEK , TRACK ∨] key or press the [ l<<, >>l ] button to select the previous/next file. • Bluetooth® streaming audio may not be supported in some mobile phones.
Bluetooth Music Setting Connection Press the [Connections] button to add a new Bluetooth® phone, connect/disconnect, delete and delete all. For details on setting connection, refer to “Bluetooth Connection” page xx.
USB About USB CAUTION Connect the USB device after turning on the engine. The USB device may become damaged if it is already connected when the ignition is turned on. Files that are not standard MP3 and WMA format files are not supported. For MP3/WMA files, only music files with compression rates between 8Kbps ~ 320Kbps can be played. Please wait until the device fully recognizes the USB devices. The device supports only USB devices used to play music/video/image files.

If the USB is not connected, then the USB Image icon will be disabled. i Information Slide Show Press the [Slide Show] ▶Press the Show time. USB mode will automatically start once a USB is connected.

Each time the Rotate button is pressed, the image is rotated from 0˚ → 90˚ → 180˚ → 270˚ degrees. i Information • The image will be restored to its original position when returning to it after viewing a different image. Adjusting Image Size Press the [+, -]. The scale can be changed to x1/4, x1/2, x1, x2, x4. Press the [△▽◁▷] to move the screen.
iPod Using iPod Devices CAUTION To listen to the iPod sound, re-connect the USB cable or exit then re-enter iPod mode. iPod is a registered trademark of Apple Inc. iPod mode will not operate if the connected iPod cannot be recognized due to operation of unsupported versions that do not support related protocols, iPod abnormalities, or iPod device defects. Some iPods with unsupported communication protocols may not properly operate in the Audio Video Navigation system.

Before Using Bluetooth® Hands-free What is Bluetooth ® Wireless Technology? Cautions when connecting a Bluetooth® Phone Bluetooth® refers to a short-distance wireless networking technology which uses a 2.45GHz frequency to connect various devices within a certain distance. Before connecting the head unit with the mobile phone, check to see that the mobile phone supports Bluetooth® features.
Bluetooth Connection Pairing and Connecting a Phone When a phone is already paired Before you can use the Bluetooth feature, you must first pair/connect your mobile phone to your car. Up to 5 Bluetooth devices can be paired. Only one Bluetooth device can be connected at a time. Press the [HONE] key ▶ Press the [Phone] icon ▶ Press the [Connections] button.
Bluetooth Connection When your phone is connected Disconnecting a Device Press the [HONE] key ▶ Press the [Phone] icon to display the following screen. Press the [HONE] key ▶ Press the [Phone] icon ▶ Press the [Connections] button ▶ Select the Phone name you want to disconnect ▶ Press the [YES]. Note • Once Bluetooth connection is successful, the name of the connected mobile phone will be displayed on the phone screen and Bluetooth handsfree functions will be ready to be operated.
