Recommended settings to record successfully:
The settings below should allow to record even whispering not from the long distance.
From the main menu, please select "Recordings" => "Recording Settings". Scroll down to the very
bottom and set the following values for the last three menu options:
- Mic (line-in) sensitivity: 7
- Denoise level (settings): 3
- AGC level: 16
Main instructions on how to operate X100 recorder:
1) To start recording, please press the "REC" button on the front side of the recorder (the one with
the red dot). When recording has started, you will see the red LED in the right top corner of the
recorder indicating this. To pause/resume recording, please use the same "REC" button.
2) When you want to stop recording and save the recorded file, please press the "MENU" button.
You will see "Saved!" prompt.
3) To see all the saved recordings, please select the "Recordings" option from the main menu using
the down/up buttons, to confirm the selection press the "Play" button. You will see two submenu
options: Recordings library and Record Settings. Please select the "Recordings library" option
and confirm the selection by pressing the "Play" button.
4) To play the recording, please select the required one using the down/up buttons and press the
"Play" button.
5) To delete only one recording, go to "Recordings" => "Recordings library", select the file to be
deleted and start to play it. When played, please press and hold the "Volume" button on the left
side of the recorder for 1 second. You will see two options: "Last played" and "Delete". Please
select "Delete" and confirm the selection using the "Play" button.
6) To erase all the recordings, go to "Recordings" => "Recordings library", select "Delete All" and
confirm the selection using the "Play" button. This was all the rest data (like document, photos,
etc.) stored on the recorder will be saved.
7) To delete all the files from the recorder, please select the "Set" option from the main menu using
the down/up buttons, to confirm the selection press the "Play" button. Scroll down to the "Format
device" option and confirm the selection by pressing the "Play" button. You will see a prompt:
All data will be deleted. Continue? You need to select "Yes". All the files will be deleted.
8) To change the brightness level, please go to the "Set" option from the main menu using the
down/up buttons, to confirm the selection press the "Play" button. Scroll down to the "Display
settings" => "Brightness". You will see a brightness level. To adjust it, please use the up/down
buttons on the right side of the recorder.
9) To enable the Voice Activated mode, please go to "Recordings" => "Recording Settings" =>
"VOR Mode" => "VOR Mode" and select VOR On. The VOR Sensitivity option defines the
minimum level of dB required to start recording (0 is the less sensitive level and 17 is the most
sensitive). The VOR Delay option sets the length of time for which the external sound is
continuously recognized as a condition to start the recording in VOR mode.
