Definitions: Safety Guidelines
The definitions below describe the level of severity for each signal word. Please
read the manual and pay attention to these symbols.

WARNING:
Serious injury or death can occur from the rack tipping over. To prevent this, the rack must
be secured to the wall, especially in earthquake-prone areas, or where surfaces are uneven, and where children
and/or pets are present. For added safety we recommend also mounting the rack to the floor using DEWALT part
number DXSTA04MP (sold separately).
NOTE: The Power Station and Cord Minders are to be used with your DEWALT DSXT10000 or DXST4500
Industrial Rack (not included).
SPECIFIC SAFETY FOR WALL MOUNT BRACKET
USE OF EXTENSION CORDS WITH WORKLIGHT
WARNING! Read and understand all instructions. This manual contains
important safety and operating instructions. Please read this manual carefully
before assembling this storage rack and save it for reference.
GENERAL SAFETY
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE YOU BEGIN:
Read all instructions thoroughly.
Remove all components from the box, and lay them on the floor in an orderly fashion.
Wear eye protection.
Be cautious of sharp edges.
Keep this information for further reference.
WARNING:
RISK OF FIRE OR EXPLOSION – Batteries should only be replaced by authorized
service technicians.
Keep electrical cords in good condition. Do not use worn, bare, or frayed cords because they
can cause electrical shock.
Operating equipment at low voltage can cause it to overheat. Using an excessively long
extension cord can cause the cord to overheat.
1. Fully insert the Power Station plug into a 110VAC 60Hz power source.
2. Verify the circuit breaker switch is in the “Reset” position and the switch light is on indicating that power is
flowing through the unit.
3. The LED charging indicator for the removable work light handle will flash RED and GREEN to indicate reset
and will then remain illuminated. A constant RED LED means that recharging is in progress. A constant GREEN
LED means that the removable work light is fully charged. Allow the work light to charge fully before use.
4. Fully insert the plug of power tools or other electronic devices into a Power Station outlet (8 outlets total).
5. The Power Station is rated up to 15 amps. If the amperage draw exceeds the rating and the circuit breaker
powers off the Power Station, unplug all devices from the Power Station and set the circuit breaker switch to
the “Reset” position before resuming use.
6. This model is equipped with a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter. A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter shuts off an
electric power circuit when it detects that current is flowing along an unintended path. To reset the GFCI, unplug
all devices from the Power Station. Verify the circuit breaker is in the “Reset” position before resuming use.
7. Fully insert USB plugs into the USB ports (under rubber cap) at the end of Power Station to power or charge
devices with USB power ports.
Power Station Operation Instructions
Rechargeable Work Light Instructions
1. Rotate the handle to the desired position. Turn the work light on by depressing and releasing the power button
on the handle next to the LED lens. Depress and release the switch again to turn off.
2. To release the work light from the Power Station, depress the release button on the opposite side of the handle
from the work light on/off switch and pull the work light module up and away from the dock.
3. To recharge the work light module, return the light module to the dock on the Power Station. Verify the light
module aligns with the key way on the handle before fully inserting into the dock. The LED charging indicator
will turn RED indicating that recharging is in progress.
NOTE: This Power Station can be mounted to either the DXST4500 or DXST10000 racks, which are
sold separately.
1. Remove rubber feet from the bottom of Power Station to expose hang holes. (Fig. 1)
2. Select the mounting bracket for the correct rack upright:
• (A) Wider bracket fits DXST10000 Industrial Racks.
• (B) Narrower bracket fits DXST4500 series Industrial Racks.
3. Install the mounting bracket to the rack’s upright by aligning the tabs to the mounting holes, then slide
downward until secure. (Fig. 2)
4. Install locking pins. (Fig. 3)
Power Station Mounting to a Rack Instructions (Fig. 1-5)
2 3
Only use a grounded extension cord that is rated at least 12 amps and has a third-wire ground. When a long
extension cord is used to connect a power station or tool, a voltage drop occurs. The longer the cord, the greater
the voltage drop. This results in less voltage being supplied to the power station or tool and increases the amount
of current (amp) draw or reduces performance. A heavier cord with a larger wire size will reduce the voltage drop.
Be sure to choose a cord that will supply enough voltage to operate your tool and/or power station. The table
below indicates appropriate gauge for extension cords.
